Parsley, what I call a vitamin pill in a plant, comes in big bunches that can last more than a week if stored properly. In this video, Rita shows you how to clean and store parsley by rinsing it, wrapping it in a damp town and placing it in a plastic zip top bag. Parsley is a beautiful plant that can add flavor and texture to a dish. There are two main types of parsley, flay leaf and curly. Curly parsley is commonly used as a decoration to dress up a simple plate. Flat leaf parsley, with a bit more flavor is usually used in cooking. Fresh parsley can add a freshness to a dish. Stirred in at the last minute or sprinkled on top of a dish, parsley is more than just color.

www.lightscameracook.com Recipe Ingredients: 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry 2 tbsp The Republic of Tea Stir Fry Tea Oil 2 shallots, minced 1/3 cup Estancia Chardonnay 1 large navel orange, zest and juice salt and pepper, to taste Optional ingredient: red pepper flakes Preparation: Heat a skillet over medium high heat for approximately three minutes until very hot. Add oil and swirl to coat. Season scallops with salt and pepper to taste. Sear scallops for two minutes on each side. Remove from pan and place on a serving plate; set aside and keep warm. Reduce heat to medium and add shallots; sauté for two to three minutes until they become translucent. Remove pan from heat. Add wine and juice from the orange, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow to reduce for five minutes until sauce becomes thickened. Pour sauce over resting scallops and top with orange zest. Sprinkle optional red pepper flakes to taste. Serve immediately. Lemon Parsley Quinoa Ingredients: 1 c Eden Organic quinoa 2 c TFM chicken stock 2 large lemons, juice and zest 2 tbsp The Republic of Tea Stir Fry Tea Oil 1 bunch green onions, chopped ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped salt and pepper, to taste Preparation: Rinse Quinoa in cool water using a fine mesh strainer. Place in a 2-quart saucepot and add chicken stock. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until all stock has evaporated. Allow to cool.
