Millivision - Passive Millimeter Wave Technology

Security screeners must have the proper tools to search not only baggage, but also people to preserve Homeland Security. It must go well beyond conventional screening technology which only finds certain objects and metals. Millivisions technology respectfully screens people; it finds plastic or ceramic weapons, liquids which could be mixed to create explosive materials, and other items and materials not found with the commonly used current body screening technology. Millivisions Video Imaging software and Automatic Threat Detection (ATD) converts the millimeter wave image, showing screeners a clothed picture of the person being screened, superimposing a red marker on the subject, to indicate the presence and location of concealed objects, and eliminating the need for operators to view privacy sensitive images as in the case of competitors systems. Their systems use passive millimeter wave technology, which means they use NO radiation. Millivision has a portal system (similar in look to the dated technology you currently walk in to at the entrance to airports and federal buildings), and a stand-off system which can be mounted on a wall or ceiling and scan people as they walk by.

Star Wars: TIE Fighter #16 'The Sepan Civil War #5: Guard Resupply' Part 1/3

Battle 2 'The Sepan Civil War' Mission #5: Guard Resupply Part 1/3 Didn't die once in this mission. ^_^ "Operational losses required replacements for Victory Star Destroyer Protector's TIE Squadrons. The accent depleted forces; escort carrier Tropsobor rendezvoused with the Protector to drop off four groups of the new TIE Avenger starfighters. During such an exposed operation, Imperial forces expected a combined attack from Dimok and Ripoblus forces. The Protector's standard patrol of TIE fighters encountered a dual pronged attack just moments after Tropsobor began ferrying the new Avengers to Protector's hangar. The Dimok Assassin-class Corvette Long Tan and Mon Calamari Light Cruiser Ben Het arrived and immediatedly launched Z-95 Headhunters to attack the TIE Avengers, while wave after wave of Y-wings exited hyperspace to launch proton torpedos against the Tropsobor. TIE Interceptors Gamma and TIE fighters Alpha had the difficult task of escorting the TIE Avengers and protecting Tropsobor, beating off the attacking Z-95s and then holding back the relentless assault from the Y-wings. Protector also initiated a counter-attack as TIE Bombers from Beta group began torpedo runs against Ben Het. Maarek Stele, despite piloting a standard TIE Fighter, was instrumental in ensuring the safety of the Avengers and Tropsobor, and even aided in the destruction of Ben Het. Reportedly, all of the TIE Avengers arrived safely aboard Protector, thanks to their speed and deflector shields <b>...</b>

How does an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar Work!!

An Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA), also known as active phased array radar is a type of phased array radar whose transmitter and receiver functions are composed of numerous small solid-state transmit/receive modules (TRMs). AESAs aim their "beam" by broadcasting radio energy that interfere constructively at certain angles in front of the antenna. They improve on the older passive electronically scanned radars by spreading their broadcasts out across a band of frequencies, which makes it very difficult to detect over background noise. AESAs allow ships and aircraft to broadcast powerful radar signals while still remaining stealthy.

Stereo Camera vs 3D Laser Scanner vs SDP Fusion Algorithm

Depth perception is a fundamental problem in computer vision with many applications such as robot navigation and 3D video. Significant progress has been made on depth sensing using passive (eg, stereo) and active (eg, laser, TOF) sensing. However, inaccurate results of stereo imaging caused by the ambiguity problem in stereo matching, and the slow, noisy and sparse results of laser scanners and time-of-flight (TOF) cameras fail to meet the requirements of many applications. In recent years, fusion of active and passive sensing has shown potential for addressing this problem. Our work proposes a super-resolution algorithm using a bilateral filter to upsample small depth images from an active sensor, with the help of a high-resolution camera image. The proposed method obtains considerably more accurate results (an error reduction of up to 6.8x) compared to the literature, with sharper and more realistic edge definition. This is shown quantitatively using both the Middlebury benchmark and a set of laser-scanned scenes. The proposed method is better suited to the sparse and unevenly-distributed depth measurements from active depth sensors, and it requires minimal parameter adjustment across different scenes, which makes it practical for real-world applications. This video compares 3D images obtained by: - An off-the-shelf stereo camera (Point Grey Bumblebee XB3) - A 3D laser scanner (SICK LMS 291) - Our proposed laser-camera fusion algorithm (SDP) For more information, visit <b>...</b>

Body Scanner Demonstration (German w/ English Subtitles).mp4

I decided after viewing the footage that speculation from English-speaking viewers should end as to what the content in German actually was. I have given my best effort to provide a workable and detailed translation of the content that was aired on ZDF. I am providing this under Fair Use terms for the English-speaking public, and hope that ZDF recognizes its role in trying to inform the public does not, in the Internet Age, restrict itself to its domestic audience. If Europe and North America should decide "independently" to implement such security practices, then it should be open to debate and scrutiny. My personal opinion -- and one shared by the supposed antagonist of this clip, Mr. Bosbach of Merkel's CDU -- is that 100% security is impossible. More than that: absolute security -- unlike human dignity and privacy-- is not a founding principle of western democratic republics. If we espouse our rights as if they were debatable, then we undermine them ourselves. Security is not a right, privacy is not a privilege that the State is in a position to revoke. The logical conclusion of such logic is totalitarianism. This is unacceptable if the true goal of security is the preservation of liberty. The cozy relationship of poltiics to the security business arena should make us ponder whether or not that is actually the goal at all... Discuss

4D Implicit Fit on Deformable 3D Scans

Demo of my early PhD experiments (December 2009). The end-goal was to achieve a watertight reconstruction of deformable 3D scan sequences. A partition of unity fit is applied to 231 deformable 3D scans. The input to the software had been captured with Dimensional Imaging's standard DI3D™ FCS-100 system on July 2008. This rig consists of four 10 Megapixel cameras and generates 3D facial surface images with highly detailed 20 Megapixel surface texture maps. The capture rate was approximately 20 frames per second and the system was properly calibrated to capture human faces. The assembly is based on a passive stereo photogrammetry proprietary method developed by Dimensional Imaging (www.youtube.com and outputs 3D meshes, that is frames, in the typical *.obj format coupled with texture information. The blue planes on the video represent the blue-colored background and were erroneously introduced by the implicit fit . Note how the approximating implicit surface naturally smooths out geometric features and other attributes of the input data such as color and texture. Similarly, the underlying topological structure is also smoothed away. For details on the implementation, see publication by: C. Walder, M. Breidt, H. Buelthoff, B. Schölkopf and Cristobal Curio: Markerless 3D Face Tracking, DAGM 2009. Kudos to Christian Walder, Colin W. Urquhart and Anders Stunstedt.

RAFALE JET 2010- NOTHING COMES CLOSE!!!

A video for Rafale...The Rafale features a delta wing combined with active integrated (Close-coupled) canard to maximize maneuverability (withstanding +9 g or -3 g) while maintaining stability in flight, a maximum of 11 g can be reached in case of emergency. The canard also reduces landing speed to 115 knots. According to internal sources (Les essais en vol du Rafale) low speed limit is 100 kt but 80 kt is sometimes demonstrated during airshows by pilots willing to underline low speed qualities of the aircraft." "A minimum of 15 kt have been reached during simulated combat vs a Mirage 2000 by an aggressive pilot."[verification needed] The aircraft can operate from 400 meter runways. Weapon complement of the Rafale. The Rafale carries an integrated electronic survival system named SPECTRA which features a software-based virtual stealth technology. The most important sensor is the Thales RBE2 passive electronically scanned multi-mode radar. Thales claims to have achieved unprecedented levels of situational awareness through the earlier detection and tracking of multiple air targets for close combat and long-range interception, as well as real time generation of three-dimensional maps for terrain-following and the real time generation of high resolution ground maps for navigation and targeting. However, in those circumstances when signature management is required, the Rafale can use several passive sensor systems. The front-sector electro-optical system or Optronique Secteur <b>...</b>

High quality PC gameplay footage from the release version of Battlefield 3. In this video I am showing the Guided Missiles with and without Beam Scanning. First half is without, and 2nd half is with. I was using my Logitech Extreme 3d Pro when flying. Note: I included pretty much every attack to show you how the guided missiles work on average. Most of the time tanks didn't even got disabled from first shot. Tracking system hops between targets if there are more than one and stops tracking if the operator gets out or uses flares. I would actually recommend rocket pods after seeing how things were changed.

Laser-based Tracking

Smart Laser-Scanner for 3D Human-Machine Interface Alvaro Cassinelli, Stephane Perrin, Masatoshi Ishikawa, University of Tokyo, Japan The problem of tracking hands and fingers on natural scenes has received much attention using passive acquisition vision systems and computationally intense image processing. We are currently studying a simple active tracking system using a laser diode, steering mirrors, and a single non-imaging detector, which is capable of acquiring three dimensional coordinates in real time without the need of any image processing at all. Essentially, it is a smart rangefinder scanner that instead of continuously scanning over the full field of view restricts its scanning area, on the basis of a real-time analysis of the backscattered signal, to a very narrow window precisely the size of the target. The complexity of the whole setup is equivalent to that of a portable laser-based barcode reader, making the system compatible with wearable computers.

PowerBook 1400C

The PowerBook 1400 was a notebook computer designed and sold by Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) from 1996 to 1998 as part of their PowerBook series of Macintosh computers. Introduced in November 1996 at a starting price of $2499, it was the first new PowerBook since the controversial PowerBook 5300. After the introduction of the more powerful PowerBook 3400 in February 1997, the 1400 took on the role of Apple's entry level notebook and remained there until its discontinuation in May 1998. Its successor, the PowerBook G3 Series (ie - "Wallstreet"/"Mainstreet") would ultimately go on to replace and consolidate not only the 1400, but the 2400 and 3400 as well. Throughout its 18-months on the market, the PowerBook 1400 came available in a number of different configurations. Originally released with a 117MHz PowerPC 603e processor, a 133MHz processor was added in July 1997, and the line topped out with a 166MHz processor the following December. Each version was available as either a "c" or a "cs" model and were differentiated largely by type of LCD technology used. While both models came with 11.3" color displays with 800x600 resolutions, the pricier 1400c came equipped with an active matrix display and the 1400cs came with a less expensive passive matrix, dual-scan display. Specification Display - 11.3-inch (29 cm) 16-bit dual scan passive matrix backlit LCD display (1400cs), or active-matrix backlit LCD display (1400c). 800 × 600 pixel resolution Storage - 750 MB, 1 GB or 2 <b>...</b>

Civil libertarians are worried by proposed legislation meaning passengers will not be able to opt out of undergoing full body scans at Australian airports. The Federal Government will introduce legislation this week so the technology can be rolled out in all of Australia's international airports. The move follows a trial in Sydney and Melbourne. Except for travellers with serious medical conditions, all passengers will have to go through the scanners if asked by airport staff. Civil Liberties Australia director Tim Vines says the scanners will amount to an unnecessary digital strip search of citizens who want to travel. He says passengers should be allowed to request a pat-down. "In the European Union, where they do allow these types of scanners, they have issued a directive that says governments must provide citizens with an option to opt out," he said. "We think that, as in the US and in Europe, people should have the option of opting for pat-downs rather than having to go through the digital strip search of the full body scan." Transport Minister Anthony Albanese says people's bodies will appear only as outlines, and the images will not be able to be copied and will not be stored. It can recognize several different packets that contain passwords including Http, Telnet, Ftp, Pop, Rlogin, SSH1, ICQ, SMB, MySql, NNTP, X11, IRC, IMAP, VNC, SNMP, MSN, YMSG, etc. Furthermore, Ettercap can utilize Man in the Middle Attacks to hijack packets and redirect them to the attacker computer allowing it to extract passwords. In this episode, we show you how to use Arp Poisoning, DHCP Spoofing, and Port Stealing MITM Attacks and explain how they work. Also, we explain how to configure Ettercap to sniff encrypted passwords over the Secure Sock Layer (SSL and HTTPS). Moreover, Ettercap can be easily programmed to modify network traffic with the use of Filters. We demonstrate how to make many different Ettercap Filters. Ettercap comes with numerous plugins to advance Ettercap's abilities; we explain how to use the Check Poison, Re-Poison, DNS Spoofing, Isolate, DoS Attack, Find IP, Gateway Discover, Search Promisc, Arp Cop, and Scan Poisoners Plugins. Lastly, we demonstrate how to use Ettercap's Passive OS Fingerprinting feature. Ettercap supports passive dissection of many protocols allowing it to identify a host's Operating System and Services. BlueSnap Bridge Reading RFID LiveStock Tags into iPad2 Apps

This video will show the AllFlex RFID Stick reader reading 134.2 kHz Livestock RFID tags into iOS apps running on the ipad 2. This solution also works with the ipad 1, iphone, ipod touch and other devices that support Bluetooth HID aka Bluetooth keyboard mode. Here we will launch the Grid In Hand mobile grid app by restock.com. Then we just scan the tags and they will show up on the ipad 2 we can then upload these tags as an Excel spread sheet or inject them into a SQL database. The RFID tag values in Excel or CSV file can also post to your FTP server. You can also scan the tags into your favorite iPad application, here we'll use the notes application. Put the cursor where you want the tag to read and press the read button. It's that simple. Scan LF (125 KHz), HF (13.56 MHz), NFC and UHF GEN2 RFID tags to ANY iOS app on iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, PC, Linux, and more. When Bluetooth RFID, Barcode scanner, Laser Range finder, scale, sensor, is connected to iPad, iPhone, iTouch, in Bluetooth keyboard mode, it hides the iOS on-screen keyboard. Now we don't have an on screen keyboard but we do have a button on the back that we can press to display the on screen keyboard. If you have attempted to connect a Bluetooth Serial Port Profile device like this reader or a barcode scanner, laser range finder or other device. You found that it doesn't work because the iOS system prevents it. In this solution the magic is provided by this small conveniently sized BlueSnap SPP-KEY <b>...</b>
