Thibaut Berland aka Breakbot projette de faire un clip avec Irina Dakeva pour la sortie de son maxi ( Baby I'm yours Breakbot feat Irfane / Pedro Winter Ed Banger ) au mois de Janvier. Le projet prend forme rapidement et se tourne courant Février. Carte Blanche sur ce film pour Irina qui conçoit le clip entièrement à l'écoline ( aquarelle ). En effet, plus de 2000 peintures faites à partir de rushes tournés et d'animation 2D furent rotoscopés chez wizz pour ce projet. Ensuite photographié au 5D pour un meilleur piqué, chaque image fut réintégrée sur des fonds animés au Flame. Un travail méticuleux pour un résultat atypique, originale et incroyable, exposé chez Colette à Paris jusqu'au 3 juillet. Pedro Winter met à disposition une mixtape inédit jusque là privée, réalisée en 2006. Pionnier de la French Touch et producteur hip-hop, Dj Mehdi est décédé... Aujourd'hui, Pedro Winter (un de ses meilleurs amis mais aussi un de ses meilleurs partenaires musicaux -- Mehdi était signé sur Ed Banger Records, le label de Pedro) met à la disposition du web une mixtape réalisée par Mehdi. Elle s'appelle « Loukoums » et le défunt artiste l'avait dédié à J Dilla, ce fantastique producteur de hip-hop américain parti en 2006. Sur la page SoundCloud, Pedro commente sobrement : « Back in 2006, Dj Mehdi's hommage to Dilla : we did something like 200 promo CDs for friends, I think it's time for this music to be shared and enjoyed by all of us. I still can't believe what's happening, so I press play and I listen to my best friend's music. » (C'était en 2006, Dj Mehdi avait sorti cet hommage à Dilla. Quote Pedro Winter (Busy P) Dear Disney people, You know i love you (we all do). But Walt! Come on! How can you take my robots friends so far away from good taste? I am 100% sure the Daft boys were not involved in this side (sad) porject. Of course some of it is nice, and you know there are some of my friends on this CD. But this is not enough! A masterpiece like TRON soundtrack deserved the best and I am sad to discover the A&R at Disney records is apparently buying most of his electronic music in airports stores... Yuksek (real name Pierre-Alexandre Busson) was born in 1977 in Reims, France. YUKSEK is one of the front runners of the new wave of French electro. His productions and remixes released on I'm A Cliché, Rise & Relish have captured the interest of many and have been playlisted by Pedro Winter, Andrew Weatherall, Freeform Five, Mylo, Laurent Garnier, Justice, Detect etc. Since 2005 he has played many gigs in France (Nouveau Casino, ParisParis, Panik, Point Ephémère, etc.) and abroad (MEG festival in Montreal). Alone on stage with his machines and a microphone, he goes back to the origins with his no-nonsense old school sound. YUKSEK thrusts his very own sound : an orderly mess mixing hip hop and techno rhythms, pop structures, dry & accurate sounds. Yet sobriety and the art of the thumping beat dominate his act, so much so they are the heart of his production : hybrid music for subtle dancefloors, appealing to one's mind as well as one's legs.

Busy P (the 'very special guest') performing live at the Justice concert at Festival Hall in Melbourne, on January 6th, 2012. This guy was incredible. Even his first few songs were a little shaky to say the least (playing metal songs at an Electronica concert isn't going to get the best of reactions, naturally), he picked it up and then it just got better and better from there. You can hear the music stop in the first clip. That's because when the stage crew was setting up the stage for Justice, they attempted to roll Busy P's stuff to the center of the stage when they were done, but one of the cords accidentally came out. It's safe to say that he got back on his feet really quickly and efficiently, and then he got out some of his best songs. All in all, this was great.
