I then learned that Figurines' Danish debut was aptly called Shake a Mountain. Skeleton, their US bow, is even tighter and brighter. At high tangled-jangle speed -- "The Wonder," "Ambush," "Wrong Way All the Way" -- these Danes sound a bit like Franz Ferdinand but much closer to a first-album Strokes with Mercury Rev's Jonathan Donahue yelping at the helm. Consider yourself introduced.
