Phil X has something new and different!! 2012 McSwain Budweiser

www.mcswainguitars.com I've always loved graphics that are somewhat subtle, but very memorable. Budweiser is not exempt from this concept. I found these old steel Budweiser cans and decided to give them a 2nd life as part of a McSwain guitar. These cans conjure up images of an old pickup truck with several of these rolling around in the back with the trusty old dog. So does the tone of the guitar. It is straight up punch and grit! The pickups are Rio Grande Texas and BBQ humbuckers. 1 volume and 1 tone. I laminated the cans to the arched top of the tone chambered redwood body which has a book-matched koa back. The neck is a 22 fret, 3-piece mahogany with an aluminum bound 24-3/4" ebony fretboard and a nut width of 1-11/16". It has a vintage '59 era shaped neck contour. The inlays are aluminum Bud crowns. Just to add a bit more colloquialism, I made the volume and tone knob from glass Bud bottle tops. My buddy Jhon Doria dug up an old pull tab in his garden, so I inlaid it into the koa truss rod cover. What else was I gonna do with it???!!! The finish is what I call a "dirty finish" which is distressed and looks like it has been around for as long as the beer cans. 24-3/4" scale. 3-piece mahogany neck, aluminum binding, aluminum bud crown inlays, ebony fretboard Body: tone chambered redwood with a book matched koa back 1 vol, 1 tone 1950s steel vintage Bud cans, glass bottle neck tops and caps as vol and tone knob, old Pull tab inlaid into truss rod cover Kluson vintage ...

Phil X Jams - Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Phil X jams Superstition by the Stevie Wonder, in a small bar. For footage of his band "The Drills" , "Powder" and much more, visit philx.tv Although the venue only had a small riser for a stage, a low ceiling, two light stands and a tiny sound system, the local audience was treated to an amazing night of rock on August 29th 2009. The Musicians in the jam night included; Guitarist (Phil X), Bassist (Kevin Gingrich) and Drummer (Paul Hoffman). For more music and information about Phil Xenidis, visit www.philx.tv www.powdermusic.com and www.thedrills.com Phil X spent a few years kicking around the club scene in Toronto, Canada. It wasn't long before he started developing a reputation as a guitarist with some serious power behind his sound. One day, after a twist of fate, he was asked to play for Tommy Lee. The next day he was in the studio and began recording guitars for MCA's Methods of Mayhem (Dec.'99). Since his reputation as being a raw, inventive and energetic guitarist got around, Phil X has recorded with Daughtry, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Zombie, Gavin Degraw, Alice Cooper, Andrew WK and many more. Yngwie & Eruption?!! PHIL X! 2004 Fender Stratocaster Mary Kaye Hardtail 01135

www.frettedamericana.com This is the Hardtail Stratocaster that Greg Fessler of the Fender Custom Shop made for May Kaye in late 2004. This preceeded the Custom Shop Tribute Series run of fifty special '56 'Desert Sand' Stratocasters, all with the usual tremolo. We believe this to be the only 'Hardtail' Mary Kaye Stratocaster ever produced. This fantastic and historically important guitar with a Vintage Blonde Nitro Celulose 'Spider' vein finish weighs just 6.60 lbs. and has a nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches and a scale length of 25 1/2 inches. One-piece 'Swamp' ash body, one-piece maple neck with a typical "10/56 Boat Neck Shape," and maple fretboard with 21 Vintage Style 'medium' frets and black dot position markers. Four-bolt neck plate engraved "MK 5037 / Limited Release / 2005 / Fender / Custom Shop". Three 'specially custom wound' pickups by Abigail Ybarra; all three signed "Abby" and dated "12-9-04" with perfectly balanced outputs of 5.84k, 5.84k, and 5.83k. Written in pencil on the bottom of the neck is "Mary Kaye" and beneath that is the pencil signature of Greg Fessler. The neck pickup cavity is stamped in blind "GF". All hardware gold-plated. This guitar is in mint (9.50) condition. Housed in the original Fender Vintage Tweed hardshell case with orange plush lining (9.50).

Phil X Jams - Funk No. 49

Phil X jams Funk No. 49, by the James Gang, in a small bar in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Although the venue only had a small riser for a stage, a low ceiling, two light stands and a tiny sound system, the local audience was treated to an amazing night of rock on August 29th 2009. The Musicians in the jam night included; Guitarist (Phil X), Bassist (Kevin Gingrich) and Drummer (Paul Hoffman). For more music and information about Phil Xenidis, visit www.powdermusic.com and www.thedrills.com Phil X spent a few years kicking around the club scene in Toronto, Canada. Video and editing by Rocky Nash, Jacquie Macri (2nd Camera) and Greg MacKenzie (3rd Camera), Trevor Woodhouse (Audio). www.youtube.com/rockynashfilms

Solid mahogany body with a nice 'tiger-stripe' two-piece carved maple top with single-ply cream binding. One-piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and inlaid pearl trapezoid position markers. Two Gibson Ceramic Magnet Humbuckers. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic retainer bridge with metal saddles and separate stud tailpiece. All hardware gold-plated. Apart from some very slight rubbing to the gold signature on the pickguard this is a mint example complete with it's original truss-rod adjustment tool, case key, strap button fasteners and Gibson Custom Customer Care Guide booklet. Housed in the original Gibson custom black hardshell case with maroon plush lining (9.50).
