You may remember hearing "Lascia Ch'io Pianga" on the popular TV production "Celtic Woman" a few years ago, but you've never heard it like this before! Christine does an incredible job embellishing the plaintive melody composed by George Frederick Handel in 1711 for his Italian opera "Rinaldo". Her rendition always gives me goosbumps as she prays for mercy and freedom (in Italian, of course). This video was shot at her recital in the Art Center of Southwestern Illinois College on April 25, 2009. Christine is accompanied on piano by Darice Palmier.
