Bass cover of what I think is my favorite song... It's hard to decide. @fffoooREVeeerrr Well for starters it's in drop D. The first section is: C, B, C, G#, G, D#, D, B X3 and the fourth time it's C, B, C, G#, G, D#, D#, B The second section is based on certain notes but the line is made by adding in whatever passing notes you feel help it flow. I stuck to using a Cm scale when adding notes. Feel free to copy how I do it; they will be the notes in parenthesis. The most important part is that it flows well and your rhythm keeps the song moving. The basics are: C, (FG)G#, (GF)D#,(DD#) G(G#-GF). C, (FG)G#, (GF) G(G down an octave) G, (G#-GF) this is played twice. The third section is all in your ability to count the beats. It's played: GC really quickly each time. The quick stuff I played is an attempt to mimic the vocal line as the bass does in the song. It's just a box pattern based on C played quickly. Section Four is a mess of half steps and triplets. It starts with a quick GG# and you drone that G# for a little bit then alternate back and forth between F# and G#. Towards the end when you hear "Soon he runs into.." begin droning G SECTION 2 REPEATED This is one of the weirder bass likes in the song to try to explain so bear with me. I'm using X as a dead note and p for pull offs C XX C XX, C# XXC# XX, C XXC XX, C# XXC# XX, CpA C#pA DpA C#pA CpA C#pA G#, G# G#-D#-C, C CG# G#-A# A# and drone low G This next bit is a lot of fun: {CD# D FF, DFD AG#-F,} x2 then: it back and ...
