I started out with an HB pencil then slowly worked up to 2B 4B and 6B as the sketch got darker and more detailed. Next I add color! I use gouache paints that are heavily diluted with water. I start off with earth tones like light browns and oranges then as the painting/drawing gets more detailed i use more vibrant colors. I flicked and ran my fingers through the brush bristles to splatter the paint around and on top of the doll. Last I used white charcoal to do the face, and colored pencils and soft charcoal to do the rest. Found at Barnes and Noble I started by sketching the teapot onto a piece of frisket film, a type of clear material that is sticky on the back. Next I carefully cut it out with a razor and applied it to the paper. Then I did the background and shelf in charcoal. I put a couple pics at the very end of the video to show a better view of the detail I added. Inside I found a drawing of a zombie woman whose face is falling apart on one side. So I recreated the drawing using a picture of myself. I found the book at Barnes and Noble, so if you want it you should be able to find it there. Materials: -Staedtler mars Lumograph pencils- HB and 6B. Total drawing time (approx): 7 hours editing time (approx): 30 min. Time from beginning to end was eight days. i used different types of pencils, mostly mechanical, a small blending stick, and a charcoal highlighter. The paper used was a random sized piece of Bristol Vellum. i have been drawing for years now, however i have only been drawing landscapes for about eight months. the positions of the trees in this drawing are based on a drawing by Greg K Olsen The drawing changes positions at the end because it was filmed upside-down, I have to film it like that because I hang my camera from a shelf above my desk. The image at the end is the completed rightside-up still that I took after I finished the drawing :-)

This is a tribute drawing I did for Pinsetter1991 aka Andrew in response to his waterfall drawing. I did this drawing and divided it up into 3 parts. The sky and trees, the rocks, and the water below. By dividing the picture into 3 areas it made it easier to draw. This was mostly drawn with pastels. With dividing the drawing into 3 key areas I was able to start the drawing very quickly and draw it very efficiently and effectively. I started off with the rocks and quickly go over the entire area with a brown/orange color to do something I like to call the "greatest common color" Whatever this color happens to be in this case brown, I shade the entire area that color and work from there. From that point, I add highlights and shadows and rocks start to form. I do not use pastels for highlights and shadows, instead, I used charcoal and white charcoal. These for some reason really apply to the paper very well and much better than pastels would. The next part of the drawing I worked on was the sky and tree area. This was easier to do that the rocks since there was much less detail that was needed. I started by erasing out the blue that I used to create the night sky so I could more easily apply the color of the trees. I applied trees as I saw fit and didn't over do it. I used cotton balls for smoothing out the sky portion of the drawing. The water was quite difficult to do because of the water ripples. But then I was able to draw then im quite well after using charcoal. It <b>...</b>
