We did not know, what will happen in the next 4 minutes. I was filming the approach for my personal video files, than it happens. The crash. Right after the crash, we don't knew what was happening. We all survived. This video shows the approach to the altiport megève. Both, the pilot and the mountain rate teacher have several thousands of flight hours and a huge experience, but it happens, that the gear was forgotten. On the video you can hear the warning signal of the plane, that indicates, that the gear was not pulled out. No one was harmed by the crash. After the crash, we tried to move the plane, but we had to get a tractor, to pull the crashed plane from the runway. You can see this in the further video. So i can give you the following advice: Check your gear twice or use a plane with a fixed gear. The flight was on the 29. August 2009 at 10:19 AM.

A Polish airlines LOT plane flying from Newark airport, New York, with 230 passengers on board has made an emergency landing in Warsaw after its landing gear failed to deploy. The runway was covered with flame retardant foam to prevent the plane catching fire. As soon as it came to a standstill, firefighters hosed the airliner with water and foam as a precautionary measure. All 230 passengers on board were safely evacuated soon after it landed. He stalls the airplane at least 3 times in the last few seconds of flight and each time it stalls he pulls the stick back. Lets see, I teach my students to add full power and decrease the angle of attack. Since this pilot was already at full power he had only one thing to do to gain airspeed. PUSH FORWARD on the stick. Also his bank angle was about 60 degrees in the last portion of the turn. Stall speed, as indicated on the airspeed indicator, increases with bank angle. This is because in a turn, to maintain altitude, the angle of attack has to be increased by pulling the stick back. The reason for this is the plane loses some vertical component of lift, the amount depends on the bank angle. 60 degrees of bank requires the wing to produce twice the lift, to maintain altitude, as that needed to fly straight and level. Ie: gross weight is say 2300 lbs. 45 degrees of bank means the wing has to produce 4600 lbs. of lift just to maintain altitude. Some airspeed is also lost to do this and if you're already at full power then you need to determine if you can push the nose down to maintain airspeed. In this case the pilot was at about 10000 ft MSL but only a few hundred feet AGL. He had no altitude to spare to accomplish this safely at the bank angle he chose. I believe he could have made the turn to the left and less <b>...</b>

The Antonov-24, which was carrying 36 people, can clearly be seen with one of its engines on fire. The pilot had reported difficulties and decided to attempt the landing on the River Ob on Monday. While the plane stayed afloat allowing the majority of the passengers to escape, seven people died. Two of the survivors remain in a serious condition in hospital.
