The Special Platypus is an Aboriginal Dreamtime Story of the Monaro & Yorta Yorta Tribes fromNew South Wales, Australia. Aboriginals believe in two forms of time; two parallel streams of activity. One is the daily objective activity, the other is an infinite spiritual cycle called the "dreamtime", more real than reality itself. Whatever happens in the dreamtime establishes the values, symbols, and laws of Aboriginal society. It was believed that some people of unusual spiritual powers had contact with the dreamtime. "Dreaming" is also often used to refer to an individual's or group's set of beliefs or spirituality. For instance, an Indigenous Australian might say that they have Kangaroo Dreaming, or Shark Dreaming, or Honey Ant Dreaming, or any combination of Dreamings pertinent to their "country". Animation describing the different characteristics of the platypus. Grandad Charlie, an elderly tortoise, tells his grandson Sam a story about an unusual animal, the platypus. A young platypus named Peter hatched from his egg. One morning he woke up and his mother wasn't there. He tried to find her. He asked a kookaburra if she was his mummy. She said that although he did have a beak like hers she also had feathers and Peter had fur. He asked a kangaroo if she was his mummy, but the kangaroo said that she did have fur but Peter had webbed feet and she didn't. Peter went back to water and found a duck with webbed feet. The duck said she wasn't his mummy as he had a long tail and she didn't. Peter found a crocodile with a long tail but the crocodile said his tail was different and he also had sharp teeth. Duck decided Peter was a platypus. Kangaroo added that Peter had a poisonous spine to defend himself against the crocodile. Peter then went back to the river and found his mother.

My love hate relationship with water bladders. I just dislike the part of managing them when I get home. Whereas a 1.0 liter bottle is easy to empty and put in the dishwasher. However, overall I think the water bladders are a good way to go. Especially some of the new bladders out on the market. The Platypus is a more friendly system to clean and maintain than what I have personally used in the past.
