PNOY VS. CORONA - SLAMS SUPREME COURT INCONSISTENT DECISIONS "LOPSIDED SCALES OF JUSTICE"

WE DON'T HAVE TO HEAR IT FROM PNOY. WE WITNESSED IT OURSELVES THAT JUSTICE IS WAY TOO LOPSIDED IN PHILIPPINES. SORRY TO SAY BUT THE UNEVEN SCALES OF JUSTICE IS TOO LOPSIDED TO BE JUST AND FAR FROM SHIFTING IN THE DIRECTION OF FAIRNESS. Do we need a Supreme Court who will only protect corruption and criminals in Philippines? With justices who will only function to protect the past administration and those who became instant millionaires while holding government positions, this country will never move forward. With every action by the Aquino government, just watch how the Supreme Court will slap and counter until the end of Aquino's term. Nothing willl be accomplished with this kind of relationship between the Aquino administration and the Supreme Court. We're not lawyers but it is very obvious that the right path to democracy and justice in this country is going down the shit hole. We need major clean up in the Supreme Court. Resign or be impeached. There is no balance in the Judiciary level of the government. The scales of justice are too lopsided. Adding to this, please stop the church from meddling with politics! Philippine government is secular and not a government for Catholics only. It is the government for all! FYI, Philippine Supreme Court Justices are obliged to retire upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70, otherwise there is no term limit for the justices. Arroyo's appointees will be in their seats until 2022. CJ Corona will turn 70 in 2018. This is ...

Anonymous - Message to Philippine President PNoy

Transcript: Greetings Philippines. Greetings Mister President. We are Anonymous. For more than 2 years now, the Filipino people have put their trust in you. You made the people believe that in taking up the name of your parents and their legacy, you will lead our Nation back to greatness. The time has come for us Filipinos, deprived of truth, to take back that trust we have given you even before the elections. Why? You have done little to alleviate the sufferings of your people. Just what have you done? During your first year of Presidency, you immediately ordered the outlawing of vehicular sirens in order to promote equality and respect on the road. But please do remember that the progress of the nation does not rely on road discipline alone. Blame games mark your first term of office. Though we must commend your constant use of the Filipino Language in your speeches, we find no interest in your zealous quest in revealing the wrongs of the previous administration. Leave that to your Truth Commission and focus on what's really essential. For us, what matters most is the present condition of the country. Many issues are still left unsolved. As you can see, many people are still hungry, jobless. Children are deprived of their basic needs like education. How do you expect our nation to be restored to glory if these children do not even know the alphabet? How do you expect them to aid in our national growth when they are constantly bothered by a growling stomach? Your act of ...

HACIENDA LUISITA: FARMERS WANT FREE LAND. PNOY WANTS FARMERS AND OWNERS EQUALLY PROTECTED

Hacienda Luisita farmers: Collective or individual ownership? Debate starts By Jo Martinez-Clemente, Kristine L. Alave Inquirer Central Luzon, Philippine Daily Inquirer 2:25 am | Saturday, November 26th, 2011 A precious title to their own little plot of land or collective ownership and cultivation of a vast estate with other farmers? The victorious farmers in the Tarlac sugar estate owned by the Cojuangco clan of President Benigno Aquino III on Friday were in the thick of discussions on whether to pursue individual or collective ownership of the land they have won in a court action. According to a union officer, the farmers are leaning towards collective ownership as this would ensure that the land would be preserved and cultivated for the benefit of all beneficiaries. "We have been proposing [collectively owning Luisita] for so long to the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). We want one single title for the land but with all the names of the original beneficiaries listed in the title," said Lito Bais, acting chair of the United Luisita Workers Union (Ulwu). He said union members will be presenting this proposal in a rally at the DAR office in Quezon City on Nov. 28. No attempt to dictate Agrarian Reform Secretary Virgilio de los Reyes on Friday said nobody is attempting to dictate to the farmers—the 6200 farmer-beneficiaries will decide how the 5000 hectares of land awarded to them will be carved out and titled. "This should not be a debate. They will be given options ...

PNOY VS CORONA: INTERPRETATION OF THE LAW KEEPS CHANGING

Judicial independence? Not for Corona to say AMADO P. MACASAET 'Who will correct the mistakes of the Supreme Court? Nobody. But there is a way: impeach the Chief Justice so that the independence of the Court may be restored.' CHIEF Justice Renato C. Corona was ranting all over the place - going as far as gathering a sparse crowd of inferior court judges, four of his own peers - to declare that he would stake his own life to maintain the independence of the Judiciary. On the other hand, President Aquino caused the impeachment of the Head Magistrate because he wants to restore - meaning it has been lost - the independence of the Supreme Court. The protagonists are fighting for the same cause. One must be wrong. The other must be right. If we trace the events that led to the present controversy, we can unquestionably declare that the Chief Justice should be held responsible for the "loss" of independence of the Highest Tribunal. While he inhibited from the deliberations that led to the ruling that the President may make an appointment to the judiciary during a period prohibited by the Constitution, Mr. Corona was the lone beneficiary of that decision. The Court might have been pressured by Gloria Arroyo to make the ruling so that Mr. Corona, canine loyal to her ever since, may be appointed Chief Justice. The day the Court promulgated the ruling, its independence was irretrievably lost. Mr. Corona lent himself to the loss of the independence of the Highest Tribunal when he ...

PNOY A DICTATOR? CORONA UNDISCLOSED SALN, CONFLICT OF INTEREST ISSUE WIFE A GMA APPOINTEE AT JHMC

Pnoy a dictator? Just last month, he was referred to as a wimp, indecisive, no brains, etc. Now he's called a dictator? If you check the definition of a dictator, it is someone who exercise absolute and unrestricted control of the government. All because Chief Justice says so. Let's watch who really is CJ Corona. ========================================== Corona's wife was appointed president of JHMC in 2007 while he was an associate justice in SC. His wife filed her resignation after Corona was appointed Chief justice by Gloria Arroyo. Corona admitted that criticisms that his wife's position in JHMC., which has several pending cases before the Supreme Court, might be in conflict with his new position as chief magistrate. Why did she resign only in 2010? Just wondering if any of the cases before the SC was compromised while she was still holding the position as president of JHMC. ------------------------------------------- Article vs Corona's wife a serious offense: Remulla By David Dizon, abs-cbnNEWS.com Posted at 12/13/2011 12:28 PM | Updated as of 12/13/2011 6:46 Pm MANILA, Philippines - He did not sign the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Renato Corona but Cavite Rep. Emperor Nero fiddled while Rome burned, but that is not what Malacañang's denial is all about. The presidential spokesmen are denying that President Aquino partied with starlets while the country was mourning hundreds who were killed by Typhoon Sendong. They claimed that Aquino merely showed up for a few minutes, with one spokesman saying Aquino stayed for just 30 minutes, while another spokesman claimed that the president stayed some two hours at the party for the Presidential Security Group. A few days earlier, Aquino was also partying even as US' National Aeronautics and Space Administratiopn (NASA) was already predicting the Ondoy-like rains hitting northern Mindanao. The Palace, as well as the weather bureau was unprepared for the disaster, and Aquino showed up only three days after northern Mindanao was ravaged by Sendong. Aquino has been getting a lot of flack for his partying in the face of death and disaster from the social media, as well as other groups. National youth group Anakbayan on Monday expressed its "utter disgust" at what it called "insensitivity" by the president toward the victims of the ...

PNOY VS. CORONA: SC DOMINATED BY ARROYO APPOINTEES ON ARROYO CASE. IS THERE A RISK OF BIAS?

PNOY VS CORONA: IF JUSTICES ARE ARROYO APPOINTEES TO HANDLE ARROYO CASE, IS THERE A RISK OF BIAS? ------------------------ Drilon: Corona voted in favor of ex-President Arroyo in all 19 cases brought before SC MANILA — Senator Franklin Drilon said on Monday that Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona consistently voted in favor of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in all 19 cases brought against her before the high tribunal. "The current score is 19-0. He never voted against her," Drilon pointed out in a statement. Drilon reiterated his appeal for Corona to inhibit himself from deliberations on the cases involving the former president to avoid doubts on the impartiality and objectivity of the SC. "I reiterate my call for Corona's inhibition in cases involving former President Arroyo because the Chief Justice's consistent voting pattern in all 19 cases involving the Arroyo government's controversial policies have created doubts in the public's mind about his impartiality," Drilon said. "All his decisions are all for Gloria. His own record shows that he favors Arroyo. Even if Chief Justice Corona's votes in the 19 cases are based on merit, what is important here is how people perceive him," Drilon said, noting that Corona's voluntary inhibition would "go a long way in maintaining the credibility of the Supreme Court, especially in cases involving Arroyo." To drive home his point, Drilon cited the 19 cases in which Corona voted in favor of Arroyo that include ...

19 AFP SLAIN IN BASILAN: PEACE PROCESS OR ALL OUT WAR? LACSON SAYS IT'S TIME FOR PNOY TO DO AN ERAP!

Palace: Talks will continue, but trust in MILF has limits 10/22/2011 | 12:24 PM While it said it will stick to the peace process despite the death of 19 soldiers in a clash with secessionists in Basilan, Malacañang on Saturday hinted there is limit to its trust and faith in the sincerity of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte, however, maintained the government will still exhaust all avenues towards peace because the human cost of going to war is too high. "It's not ever-faithful and ever-trusting... we are aware how high emotions are running but at this point, peace is the better option. The human cost of going to war is too high to take," she said on government-run dzRB radio, when asked if the government is still "ever-trusting" and "ever-faithful" to the MILF after this week's incident. For now, she said the government has mechanisms to avail of under the peace agreement. She said the military had already said it plans to file charges against those behind the killing. "We repeat, we are seeking justice at the right place at the right time. Claims that we are not giving due recognition of the sacrifices of our soldiers... is the farthest thing from the truth," she said. Valte also fended off speculations that President Benigno Aquino III had become protective of the MILF, after he met with the group's leaders in Japan last August 4. "It's a show of good faith. We sincerely believe the peace talks is something we should ...
