I need opinions on what to do about my pointe shoes. I just bought a new pair of pointes (Suffolk Solo's). I have a problem with my feet being different sizes. My right foot is long & narrow, but my left foot is small & wide (about a half sz. difference). Therefore I have trouble finding the best fit for both feet. I bought the thicker pads for my left foot so that the shoe would fit better, but I think it's creating problems by making my left foot "fall in" towards my right foot (My foot bones may be twisting, but I'm not sure). When I wear the thinner pads it's not as bad, but there's lots of space in the shoe. I'm debating whether or not I should do custom shoes for a more precise fit, or just buy two pairs? (I have my old shoes on in the beginning for a comparison) Opinions or suggestions? (I have not sewn the elastics & ribbons on yet. I'm waiting to do that until I've made up my mind...)

The Freeds did not work for me but i really like the Suffolk. Took home the Solo Light and tomorrow having the Solo Prequel brought down from Dancer's Choice to see which I like best! As you now know the Russian Pointes weren't the best shoe for me - at least for now. Feet change apparently !

In the pre-pointe/beginner pointe class after about a week and a half of not being en pointe (but still taking plenty of dance classes). Struggling with my échappés. I have always had trouble getting out wide enough, and then getting over my box once I get out there... I have been dancing for about 3 years. I began dance when I was 19 years old. I have been en pointe for about a year, yet I have not been consistently taking pointe classes for that long. So, more realistically I would say that I have been en pointe for about 6 months. Shoes are Freed Studio II.

My first attempt at video editing, a tribute video to those who fought, some surviving, others falling, on the Beaches of Normandy in World War II. Part of the reason I suppose I did this now was that there is what I consider an alarming trend with some who refer to this person or that person as a Nazi or some Hitler as if this is just an insult you hurl around. It seems perhaps, even if unmeant, to be insulting to the memories of those who fought so valiantly, gave so bravely and fell with such nobility on those far distant beaches fighting the onslaught of Hitler and the Nazi's. This is a thank you to them and a plea for others not to take what they fought against so lightly as if to consider it so light as just to throw around so easily. With heartfelt gratitude that can never completely to expressed to those who served thank you to all who fought there, we remember.
