In real life - in the mirror - no pores were evident. I had zoomed in here so please bare that in mind with any issues with nose hair (!!!) etc... Have you ever noticed when you apply some foundations that the pores can suddenly look "bigger" than when you started? Strange isn't it. But as you can see from this - they do get bigger but need "teasing" back into hiding. Its very important that you use a thick, preferably natural hair brush for this. Shu Uemura, Tom Ford and Cover FX also make these. I used Shu Uemura goat hair brush. You cannot get the same effect with a normal foundation brush or stippling brush sadly as you need the added pressure these brushes provide. Erasing every pore on your face is never a good idea unless its for a very important event (wedding etc...) because it can make the skin look very unreal. I have set with powder but you can see that before powder was used the pores were 99% gone or "better". Also, bare in mind that even though this looks simple, it can require practice. Often we can be a little "too heavy" with application and this can make the skin look mask like. Not a good look. I also didn't use a pore minimiser primer etc... these are very good but i wanted to show what was possible with just foundation and a brush. I used cream foundation but <b>...</b>

If nothing else please please please don't try and eliminate all pores. I know its sounds tempting but its really not a good look in real life. Using a puff and power you are pressing powder into the pore to "fill it in". Its a very simple and easy method and very very old school. DO NOT over matte the skin. I like matte skin but do not OVER MATTE otherwise you will risk it looking like a mask. I have not added back any shimmer etc... in this tutorial but i recommend you do as you want the skin to look alive. Matte skin photographs beautifully but at the same time we need skin to look real. I used MAC blot powder for this. Any pressed or loose powder will work just fine as will powder foundations (not mineral). I hope you can see the difference. I used a VERY light coating of foundation to begin with. That is it. The pores by my eyebrows in the before and after are nearly completely gone and the ones in the centre of my forehead are much reduced. BUT SKIN NEEDS TO BREATH! No. the skin does not breath. The lungs do. Its a myth. Sure its not good to clog up the skin - but i would be more concerned with the lotions, potions, primers, moisturisers, SPF, more primers etc... than i would be with powder. I've not yet had anyone breakouts from this method BUT everyones skin is different. Some of the pore products on the market really do work, temporarily and are worth looking into. This song is taken from Tagore's Gitanjali and although the poet himself had done a prose translation in English, I have paraphrased it one again, just to keep the lyrics rhyming to the flow of the music. The song itself is a prime example of how the melody adds color to Tagore's lyrics, and certainly not the other way around! Tagore had composed this song while on a boat ride and is sung in the raga "miyaan ki maalhaar", in a tappaa style that a contemporary, Nidhu Babu, had borrowed from the vocal music of Punjab. Although the real meaning behind the lyrics is debatable (since the flow of the melody seems to carry us away from Tagore's intricate subtleties), for selecting the graphics I have interpreted "...aNdhar kore ashe..." to be a darkening of the mind (instead of light) that brings forth a basal desire in humans. Thus, keeping in line with Tagore's own concept of a Deity with whom he had so often desired corporeal intimacy, I have prepared this slideshow. You will need: 1 egg (the whites only), two bowls (one to put the yolk in and one to beat the egg whites in), a whisk, and some toilet paper cut into strips. First STEAM YOUR FACE! Whisk the egg whites until they are very bubbly. Apply them to where you will put the pore strip. Put the toilet paper over top of that, and then GENTLY put more egg whites on top. If you are not very very gentle the toilet paper will tear (think toilet paper when it gets wet). Let this dry for anywhere from 20-50 minutes. You can cut the time a bit if you sit infront of a fan. After it is TOTALLY dry, carefully peel the pore stip off. Voila! :) If it did not work, you either did not steam your face before (or long enough) or you did not let it dry long enough.
