Soy Sauce- Hawaiian Style Preferred 4. Black Pepper 5. Garlic 5. Opt- Hot Pepper for a kick! 6. Opt- Onions Heat up oil on med high. Add garlic and saute for a quick minute Add Meat and saute for a few and then turn heat up high and fry for 5 minutes. Add Vinegar, Soy Sauce, and Black Pepper but dont stir! Just let it sit for about 10 minutes on med high. After 10 Min stir occasionally and then lower heat to taste. Add soysauce or other flavors as desired. Then let it simmer for another 10 minutes on med high. When the gravy (sabow) is a thin consistency (dribbling off spoon) then you add onions, stir the adobo, and turn the heat to high for 2 minutes. This dish was DELICIOUS. SO simple too. I found it here: www.cooks.com 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. paprika 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 lbs. boneless pork chops 1/2 c. butter 1 minced sm. onion 1/2 c. minced green pepper 1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained 2 c. milk Juice of 1 lemon Mix 1/4 cup flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Dredge chops lightly in mixture. Brown chops on both sides in butter. Transfer to shallow baking dish. Add onion, green pepper and mushrooms to skillet. Cook until onion is soft and golden. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup flour. Blend in milk, stirring constantly and cook until sauce is smooth and thickened. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice. Pour sauce over chops. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven 350°F for 1 hour. Makes 4-6 servings.

Slightly sweet and sour flavor is addictive ;) Chinese Cabbage (or Napa Cabbage) is a tasty low calorie food. We call it Hakusai (白菜) in Japanese. It is a good source of vitamin C, calcium, iron, carotene, etc... especially in the white part of the cabbage. Thus, the broth is rich in nutrients!!! No wonder, this is the perfect recipe for leftover Chinese cabbage. --------------------------------- Tasty Simmered Pork and Chinese Cabbage Recipe Difficulty: Easy Time: 15min Number of servings: 2 Ingredients: 550g (1.2lb.) Chinese Cabbage 100g (3.5oz.) thinly sliced pork A * 160cc water * 1/2 consomme cube * 1 tbsp. soy sauce * 2 tbsp. ketchup * 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. starch with 1 tbsp. water sesame oil Directions: 1. Cut out the hard core and separate the leaves and the white parts (stalks). Cut the leaves into bite-size pieces. Thinly slice the white parts (stalks) diagonally into bite-size pieces (we call this diagonal cutting technique "Sogigiri"). 2. Cut thinly sliced pork into bite-size pieces. 3. Here is the recipe: Cupcake Tin Pork Pies ingredients * 3/4 pound ground pork * 1 medium onion, peeled and grated * 1 teaspoon kosher salt * 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage * 1/2 cup bread crumbs * 2 boxes of two (9-inch) discs prerolled, refrigerated pie dough (4 pie doughs total) * 2 eggs, beaten Directions 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Grease two 6-cup muffin tins with butter. 3. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients but the dough and 1 tablespoon of the eggs; refrigerate. 4. Unroll the dough and cut out twelve 4-inch circles with a biscuit cutter or the rim of a drinking glass. 5. Reroll the scraps, then cut out 12 more 2-inch circles. 6. Line the bottoms and sides of the tins with the 4-inch rounds. 7. Divide the filling evenly among the cups. Press the 2-inch rounds on top, pinching the edges together to seal. 8. Poke a hole in the center of each pie. 9. Brush with the reserved egg and bake until the tops are browned and puffed slightly, 30 to 35 minutes. 10. Let cool for 15 minutes before removing the pies. Serve warm with gravy or warm applesauce.

Roast Pork Loin with Bacon and Brown Sugar Glaze


www.lightscameracook.com Recipe 1 boneless pork loin, about 5 to 6 pounds 4 to 6 slices bacon Rub Mixture: 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Glaze: 1 cup light brown sugar, packed 2 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard Heat oven to 350°. Place pork loin in a roasting pan. Combine the rub ingredients and rub over the pork. Cut each strip of bacon in half crosswise and lay them over the pork loin. Roast for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the pork registers about 150°. In the meantime, combine the brown sugar, flour, cider vinegar, and dry mustard in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and simmer for about 1 minute. Spoon over the pork and return to the oven. Roast for about 15 to 20 minutes longer, or until pork registers 160°. Serves 6 to 8.

Italian Porketta Pork Roast


The spices flavour the meat wonderfully and it will smell heavenly in your house while you are cooking this. There are "porketta" bingos here at some local bars in the Italian neighbourhood where if you win, you get a delicious porketta sandwich. Leftovers make fantastic sandwiches. 1 tbsp fennel seeds 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tbsp dill seeds 1 or 2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning 1 tsp kosher salt 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 1 tsp Italian seasonings Place all seasonings into plastic bag and pound until most of the seeds are crushed or use a mortar and pestle. Wash and dry roast. Insert 4-5 whole garlic cloves into the meat. Rub olive olive on roast and then rub with the seasoning mix. Bake at 325 degrees in a covered roast pan for 1- 1 1/2 hour until done (internal temp. of 160F) You can add potatoes and carrots to roasting pan and season with dried thyme. I add my veggies at beginning of cooking time and they are very cooked. If you prefer less mushy veggies, add carrots in last hour and potatoes in last 40 minutes or so. Uncover roast for last 1/2 hour to brown and crisp exterior if desired.

Song: Jaurim's "I'm my fan" (팬이야) Ingredients (for 4 servings): 600 grams(1 ½ pound) of pork belly (or pork shoulder), hot pepper paste, onion, garlic, ginger, green onions, green chili pepper, hot pepper paste, hot pepper flakes, natural brown sugar, soy sauce, black ground pepper, sesame oil, roasted sesame seeds, and lettuce. Directions: 1. In a thick bottomed wok or pan, add these ingredients: o 1½ pounds (600 grams) of pork belly of bite size pieces about ¼ inch thick o 1 sliced medium onion, 3 chopped green onions o 4 cloves of minced garlic, ½ ts minced ginger o 1 chopped green chili pepper (optional) o 1/3 cup hot pepper paste o 2 tbs hot pepper flakes o 2 tbs natural brown sugar o 1 tbs soy sauce o ½ ts black ground pepper o 2 ts of sesame oil 2. Heat up the pan over high heat. 3. Mix and stir all ingredients with a wooden spoon, until the pork is cooked thoroughly. It'll take about 10 minutes and the onion will look translucent and mushy when it's done 4. Transfer it to a serving plate and serve with a bowl of rice, some lettuce, a few more side dishes (if you want), some soup, and kimchi.
