Over the past few years, Belladrum has become a spiritual home for Detour. In 2010, we were lucky enough to some brilliant sessions in some brilliant locations throughout the site. We were discussing our usual topic of conversation - what's the best Limp Bizkit song - when nature called. We found Strachan from the monstrously good Bronto Skylift, who proceeded to treat all and sundry to a rare acoustic track. From a portaloo. With his kecks round his ankles. Only at Bellardrum. SPS? Disabled Portaloo, Holcot Steam Ralley
Today I was at Holcot Steam Ralley and found some good portaloos, this one is usually reasonably rare. If you look, the hole is in the front left hand corner of the bowl, no flap though, no smell. This one is probably by SPS, as the soap dispenser is the same as other toilets, though alcohol gel is in the one in this toilet. Plus the toilet roll holder is the same. The bowl is quite low (Hence why I had to flush by foot) I quite like the flush the way is swirls right up and around the hole.

Thal/Thistle Loo Hire Portaloo, Rothley Station
I know portaloos aren't all that interesting, but thought might aswell as it's a flushable one. I think it is made by Thal and distrubited by Thistle Loo Hire. This is one of the good ones, handwash not alchohol gel, though someone has either flushed the soap or stole it. The toilet also has a flap, some just have a hole at the front or a broken flap. Most are flushable though. For some reason it tells you to put used towels in the toilet, usually they say not too ... The water is really blue. The pump wasn't the best, it's hard to get a high pressure though using your foot works better. I know I'd rather use The Simpliticas than this!

Portaloo Prank
A video caught of a couple of blokes coming home from a night out drinking in london. They trapped one of there mates inside the portaloo and tipped it upside down. The bloke who was trapped said he had S**t in his mouth. If you watch carefully you can also see all the waste over the floor. I was told the portaloo wasn't emptied for days by the roadworkers who recorded the whole video while working across the road and they said you could see the bloke dripping all over from the waste mixture. What crap mates he's got.
SPS Portaloo, Holcot Steam Ralley
This one is the swirling flap type, and a normal cubicle. This one is rented out by SPS for definate. The bowl is longer than normal, and seat. This one has a sink and liquid soap, operated by foot as usual. The flush is interesting, it swirls from the rim, a lot. (The pump again was too low to operate by hand, I had difficulty with it normally) The more you pumped, the better the flush. As you can see I got a constant swirl going, the flap opens with it as water goes down. The problem with the swirl type flush is the way it goes over the edge so easily, but it gets paper down fast as you can see.
