A fashion show better known as "Prosthetic Fashion" took place in Bogota, Colombia. The fashion show features disabled persons who have lost limbs from birth to accident such as landmine to car accident. Hernan Zajar a fashion designer stated, "I was a hard thing for the models to put on highheels and get up on stage. Being a modal was their dream and we are making that dream come true." The theme of the show was "Nothing is imposible everthing is posible." Also in attendance was Australian adventurer Warren McDonald, who lost both his legs in a climbing accedent. He later goes on to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with legs.

Today Todd got his first set of new legs and is able to stand for the first time since Oct. 25, 2010 when he was injured in Afghanistan. These legs weren't made for him to start walking they were made for him to learn to stand and keep his balance. So far so good. There is so much to look forward to.

The documentary joins Hugh on a very personal quest, as he is himself a double amputee. At age 17 while fast becoming a world-class rock climber, Hugh was caught in a terrible blizzard on Mount Washington. He barely survived, only to lose his legs and, worse, to suffer the loss of one of his rescuers' lives. Undaunted, Hugh took to creating artificial limbs that would enable him not only to continue climbing, but to climb at a more advanced level than he could with biological legs. This instinct for innovation soon became an adult passion for helping others through high tech prosthetics.

You've heard of sleight of hand; how about sleight of foot? Behind her grinning and foot-tapping, Miranda Cochran's ability to dance competitively has a way of inspiring folks. "When people tell me I inspire them, I know," said the 12-year-old from Frisco. What makes her inspiring? Cochran was born without her left foot. She learned to dance and complete with a prosthetic leg. "Sometimes I don't really think of it," she said. "I just go and do everything, and I'm like, 'Oh yeah, I have a prosthetic leg.' I just forget about it a lot." She must've forgotten about that prosthetic leg while winning her many trophies, competing with girls who have both their legs and beating them. But did she get special consideration? "No," she said. "I think it should all be equal." From the very beginning, her mom, Karrie, chose to raise her daughter with a philosophy that is paying off today. "Pick yourself up and don't give up," Karrie Cochran said. "I've never, ever, let her have her leg as an excuse." That means flat-out working harder, because Miranda's prosthetic foot won't bend at the ankle. She can't point her toe like the other girls, so she's always inventing ways to compensate. Her ability to adapt and overcome has a way of inspiring her teachers. A new lease on life for one elephant in Thailand. The gentle giant fell victim to a landmine blast is now out and about after being fitted with an artificial leg. Thai doctors add the finishing touches to a new front left prosthetic elephant leg on Sunday, 10 years after she lost her limb by stepping onto a landmine. It has been 10 years since Motala lost her leg while working at a logging camp on the Thai-Burmese border. She is now able to walk on all-fours again, thanks to the Prosthesis Foundations efforts to create a limb just for her. Hundreds of elephants employed in the logging industry along the Thai-Burmese border risk injury from landmines... laid out by Burmese troops fighting ethnic rebels. Doctors at the Friends of the Asian Elephant's Hospital in Lampang Province have cared for Motala since she was injured in 1999. They spent an entire day creating the pattern and making measurements to ensure the limb would fit perfectly. It took the elephant around ten minutes to take her first step, and when that was done, it took an hour to complete a 100 foot track. [Therdchai Jivacate, Prostheses Foundation Doctor]: "Motala is an adult elephant. The joint between her leg and artificial limb might get bigger or reduce when she gains or loses weight, so we might need to adjust the prosthesis again." Doctors say it might take time for Motala to get used to the prosthesis, but they are encouraged by how she did not reject it.
