Pulp Fiction

Critics and audiences worldwide hailed PULP FICTION as the star-studded picture that redefined cinema in the 20th Century! Writer/director Quentin Tarantino (Academy Award® Winner -- Best Original Screenplay, 1994) delivers an unforgettable cast of characters -- including a pair of low-rent hit men (John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson), their boss's sexy wife (Uma Thurman), and a desperate prizefighter (Bruce Willis) -- in a wildly entertaining and exhilarating motion picture adventure that both thrills and amuses!
Pulp Fiction Soundtrack - Opening Theme (Dick Dale and His Del Tones - Miserlou)

Pulp Fiction is a 1994 crime film directed by Quentin Tarantino, who cowrote its screenplay with Roger Avary. The film is known for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic mix of humor and violence, nonlinear storyline, and host of cinematic allusions and pop culture references. The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture; Tarantino and Avary won for Best Original Screenplay. It was also awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. A major critical and commercial success, it revitalized the career of its leading man, John Travolta, who received an Academy Award nomination, as did costars Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman. Directed in a highly stylized manner, Pulp Fiction joins the intersecting storylines of Los Angeles mobsters, fringe players, small-time criminals, and a mysterious briefcase. Considerable screen time is devoted to conversations and monologues that reveal the characters' senses of humor and perspectives on life. The film's title refers to the pulp magazines and hardboiled crime novels popular during the mid-20th century, known for their graphic violence and punchy dialogue. Pulp Fiction is self-referential from its opening moments, beginning with a title card that gives two dictionary definitions of "pulp". The plot, in keeping with most of Tarantino's other works, is presented out of chronological sequence. The picture's self-reflexivity, unconventional structure, and extensive use of homage and pastiche have led critics to ...

Reenactment #26: Pulp Fiction [Request #1 of List #1]

The 26th of my Reenactment Series. Here it is. Finally. I didn't get it in before Monday... hence, I didn't leap. Looks like I'm stuck here... dammit. (Quantum Leap references out of the way...) I KNEW some of you guys would be disappointed. It's such a great scene, and you've been waiting a long time for it. I'm hearing the same complaints: Bangs were distracting, didn't like the hair, too comical and not serious. 1. I put the "Bangs" in because I thought they were hilarious. I giggled to myself in the glow of my laptop for 5 minutes making that "Bang" montage in the end. 2. I like how you guys think the beard was distracting, and yet the floral quilt hanging in the background, the continuity errors, and even the accidental inclusion of my laptop in one of the takes weren't distracting at all. Again, I just thought the beard was funny. 3. I could never pull off Samuel L. Jackson. He's too badass, especially in this scene. When I can't get someone's mannerisms, I go for a comic portrayal to redeem myself. Sometimes it works and you guys never notice. Other times... All in all, I was sort of happy with this. It may not be a milestone for what probably will be my last reenactment, but I didn't expect it to. It's hard to say whether or not I'll do anymore reenactments. I want to move on... there are a lot of things happening in the next few months for me, and I have to concentrate on them. That isn't to say I won't be uploading any more videos, but they may be few and far ...

There are 429 swear words in Pulp Fiction. This is all of them, minus everything else in the movie. Just the swearing. Rules we followed: It counts as a swear word if: 1. It's a common swear (bitch, ass, etc.) 2. It's bleeped on network tv (the n-word, blasphemy, etc.) 3. It's paired commonly with a swear word (like "mother" with the f-word) Then we cut out everything else.
