This is a Purdue ECE 362 project called Super Smash Brothers: Bitbang created by David Kauer, Thor Smith, Vipul Bhat, and Kyle Brown. The project uses a 9S12C microcontroller with a few PLDs to handle the vSync and hSync VGA timing. The RGB pixels are pushed from the port pins of the micro, which are pulled from on-board SRAM. A quick compilation of pictures and videos taken at the Purdue University Airport that I took as the Paint Crew welcomes home the Purdue Basketball team after upsetting #13 Michigan in Ann Arbor, giving the Wolverines their only lose at home for the season. It was also the first time this season Purdue had beaten a ranked opponent, almost securing a spot in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. I know the music of "Hail Purdue" doesn't work so well in some places, especially with the videos, but I put this together in about 10-15 minutes. For my friend and I, it was like freshman year, having to walk from Cary to the airport again to greet the team like when they won the Big Ten Title and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2010. Some of you may have been around in 2008 when they beat Wisconsin in Madison, and this is probably nothing in comparison.
