Daryl Jack & Maliah Jack tribute with PURDY's WORD by Alex, Cheevers & Kit of Harmony Nights
Daryl Dewayne Jack was born May 27, 1980. He married Willow Jack in 2000, and they had two children, a son, Nakeezaka (May, 1999) and a daughter, Maliah Morningstar (June 15, 2001). Daryl & Maliah were killed in a car accident in August 2005 while the family traveled home to Ft. Hall, Idaho from a powwow. Nakeezaka, Willow and Leela survived the wreck. Daryl & Purdy are remembered by many and will always be remembered for the love they shared with all. Daryl was a loving husband & father, champion dancer & devoted college student. Maliah was his pride & joy and will always be remembered for her funny jokes, warm hugs, fashions shows, make-up sessions & Hula or her powwow dancing. May the Creator bless Nakeezaka & Willow for the loss of their two loved ones. May Creator bless all who felt this loss. This is a tribute to a father and daughter who's love will never be forgotten.

At the age of 19, she contracted Neisseria meningitis, a form of bacterial meningitis. Due to the disease, which affected her circulatory system, both of her legs had to be amputated below the knee. Her spleen and a kidney had to be removed as well. Two years later, she received a kidney transplant from her father. Her friends now refer to her by the nickname Lucky. Amy's most significant accomplishment to date is in the creation and development of the action sport athletic organization; Adaptive Action Sports. In 2005 Amy and her partner Daniel Gale founded the non-profit organization to help adaptive athletes get involved with action sports, art and music. As of 2011 Amy is currently ranked #1 in the world for Adaptive Snowboarding and recently got adaptive sports into the 2011 X-Games.
