Our journey began last year December, my wife and I have planned for some time to have another baby, we have two boys Matthew aged 7 and Jared aged 4 already and was really hoping the third would be our little princess however fate had something else in store for us.On the 28th January this year my wife had her first gynecologist appointment and I was present for the support, you can well imagine the shock on our faces when we heard that she was pregnant with not only one or two or three babies but miraculously four. To quote her gynecologist that day " Dus nie skaars soos hoender tande nie, dit is hoender tande" to conceive spontaneous quadruplets without all the various fertility drugs that is available today is definitely something unique and special. I have tried to do some research on when last this occurred but without much success, One of the gynecologist said the last he can remember was the Lombard quadruplets born in 1951 in the North West apparently there was a story of them not so long ago turning sixty. The last 4-5 weeks before birth my wife spent in hospital on strict bed rest as her cervix was opening and threatening premature labor, it was the toughest month and a half of my life, having to take care of our two boys and visiting my wife Elverna. And so, on a cold rainy winters night the 30th May 2011 at 29weeks my wife give birth to our premature precious little four gems, unfortunately I was not allowed in the theater to witness their birth as there was <b>...</b>
