Max Browne Highlights - Full Ride Top 2013 Quarterbacks - Power Rankings

Bleacher Report's Full Ride is here to break down the nation's top high school football recruits. This week we take a look at the top QB's coming out of the Class of 2013. Fox Sports National Recruiting Analyst, Brandon Huffman, gives us the lowdown. The number one passer in the class of 2013 is Max Browne. At 6'5" 196 pounds he certainly has the size to succeed at the next level. He's yet to decide on a school but has offers from almost every national power including Oklahoma, USC, and Washington. Tyrone Swoopes who has verbally committed to Texas check in at number two. The Longhorns hope he'll be the next Vince Young. Shane Morris who's committed to Michigan is Scout's number three ranked quarterback and doing his best to help recruit a better team in Ann Arbor. Cooper Bateman from the state of Utah is ranked fourth and is still collecting offers from across the country. Rounding out the top five is Brice Ramsey who appears to be staying home after verballing to Georgia. Full Ride is a weekly college football recruiting show that pulls back the curtain to give you the hottest news, analysis, interviews and highlights. Aaron Rodgers called Matt Flynn Top 15 quarterback Is that a compliment?

Like us on Facebook www.facebook.com Aaron Rodgers had some kind words for general managers interested in acquiring his former backup, Matt Flynn. "The team that gets Matt is going to be very happy, I can promise you," Rodgers said of the free agent. "They'll be getting a top-15 quarterback." The Green Bay Packers quarterback surely meant it as a compliment to his understudy of four seasons. But was it? There are 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Being in the top 15 could mean you're barely better than half, right in the meaty part of the curve. Let's assume the top-14 quarterbacks in the league are, in some order: Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Matthew Stafford, Michael Vick, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Andrew Luck. You can quibble with the bottom of the list, but that's beside the point. Essentially, Rodgers is saying that Flynn will be Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez or Alex Smith.

NFL's Best Ever Quarterbacks (1985), Part 1

No copyright infringement is intended with this, or any other video I upload. The purpose of uploading this video is for the viewing pleasure of those that watch it. This is the second of the eight features that make up the NFL Films Legacy Series, featuring the best quarterbacks from the NFL's first 65 years. Like the first feature, "Best Ever Runners", this is a remake of the original 1981 presentation due to events that took place during the 1984 NFL season. In this case, there was the astounding season of Dpolhins' QB Dan Marino, who became the first quarterback to ever throw for over 5000 yards in one season, as well as throwing 48 touchdown passes in 1984, an AVERAGE of three per game for the ENTIRE season, and one-third more than the previous record, shared by George Blanda and YA Tittle. There was also the performance in the first half of the 80s by Joe Montana, fated to be the player of the decade. Montana, the only QB ever to win an NCAA championship [with Notre Dame in 1977] and NFL championship, guided the 49ers to their second Super Bowl title in 1984. Jeff Kaye, as noted in the opening credits, narrates the film. Along with the prologue, this part, the first of four on the QBs features a quick snippet of some of the top QBs of the late 70s and early 80s, like Ken Stabler, Danny White, Brian Sipe, Bert Jones, and Hall of Famer Dan Fouts before profliing sammy Baugh, the first great QB, along with Bob Waterfield and Sonny Jurgensen. Ken Anderson Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback

Ken Anderson was one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals his whole career. Bill Walsh was his quarterback coach and is considered one of the first quarterbacks to run what would become known as the West Coast Offense. Was an extremely accurate passer. Who could also take off running and was exceptionally intelligent. His main target was Isaac Curtis who had lighting fast speed. The week before Anderson set a then record 90.9(20 for 22) percent of his passes in a game against the Steelers in 1974 this is what Jack Lambert had to say about Anderson. "But reacting to a guy like Anderson is going to be some kind of tough. you know he's completed...what is it? 65 percent of his passes. You know why? Because he is patient and never throws into a crowd. If a receiver is well covered he always goes elsewhere. Not sometimes, but always. Now that makes things tough. Besides he is an excellent runner. He is not what I'd call a scrambler but he is their second-leading ground gainer so you have to respect his running a lot." Anderson also gave the Steelers high praise saying "Look at their whole defense they have no weakness. They try to intimidate people. They're very physical. That much individual talent put together on a team defense makes them extra tough." After Anderson set an NFL record by completing 70.5% of his passes in 1982 breaking Sammy Baughs record. They interviewed Sammy Baugh and this is what he had to say about Anderson. "I ...

Top 11 Quarterbacks in College Football History

The best college QB ever? Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Doug Flutie or Peyton Manning? It's an easy question without an easy answer. That title comes with a ton of white noise. Was it the system? Was it the talent around the quarterback? Was it the era? How much did the level of competition factor in? Did that QB shine in the biggest moments, on the biggest stage, with the biggest performance? Jeff George had a cannon, but he changed schools faster than some girlfriends change outfits. Jim Plunkett, Roger Staubach, Sammie Baugh all made their mark. John Elway took Stanford to new heights, but would he have excelled in the run-and-gun system that helped Andre Ware put up prolific numbers? No one will ever know. At the end of the day, one measure of best ever has to be results. Fair or unfair, players are graded by production and influence. A quarterback who wins consistently, wins the national championship and wins a Heisman, has to be rewarded with a seat at the best-ever table. But how big is that table and what is the pecking order? Bleacher Report has assembled 11 of the best QBs college, just college, has ever produced. A flame-out in the pros doesn't carry any weight. Scott Frost and Gino Torretta, that's not why you guys didn't make the list. Take a look, and let us know what you think. Who should have made it? Who doesn't belong? And who should be higher?

Kevin Olsen Highlights - Full Ride Official Visit - 2013 Top QB Recruit Interview

When you look at quarterback recruits you look to see if they have size, arm strength, pocket awareness, leadership and the ability to grow into the position. When Bleacher Report's Full Ride spent the day with Wayne Hills, New Jersey quarterback Kevin Olsen, who is regarded by most scouting services as one of the top 10 passers in the Class of 2013, we found a kid who may even be a tad underrated. His one brother, Greg, is the starting tight end for the Carolina Panthers. His other, Chris, played quarterback at Virginia. His father and coach, Chris, is a legendary New Jersey figure who has captured eight state championships. So, how could a recruit with Kevin's pedigree be underrated? I am not sure, but my guess is scouts haven't seen how hard he works off the field or how he is continuing to grow into his frame that should allow him to easily fill-out to over 6'4' and 220-pounds. During our visit with Kevin, we saw a quarterback who has picture-perfect mechanics and complete command of the chalkboard. Like quarterback prodigy David Sills, who we featured last week, Kevin's work in the film-room is what sets him apart from a lot of other junior quarterbacks. It is no surprise that power programs from around the country are recruiting Kevin. He currently holds offers from Miami, Florida State, Stanford, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Alabama, Florida and Auburn. While Olsen did not indicate a leader for his services, he did note that he wants to play in a pro-style offense where ...

Madden 10 Offense Tips (Utilizing Mobile Quarterbacks)

SUBSCRIBE FOR WEEKLY PRO MADDEN TIPS! Tip 1: Come out in any 4 or 5 wide shotgun formation to spread the defense. Snap the ball see if there is an inside blitz if not you will have great holes to take off in with your QB. Even if the defense has QB spy you can still get great yardage. If there is an inside blitz your (hot route your slot WR on a slant towards the middle pre snap) your slot WR will be wide open. Tip 2: This is just a huge play maker that i like to run probably twice a game. If you can get all the way outside to the opposite side of the field your HB screen, the defense will be shifted over to that side as well. This gives the blockers for your HB a major block advantage and you can pick up some HUGE yards.
