This is a great workout to get started with at home if you don't have a gym membership. And I will sometimes do this workout when I don't have time to go to the gym, or when I'm traveling and don't have gym access. Here's the workout: SIDE TO SIDE PUSHUPS -- 10 REPS. Move your hands wide apart as you go down, and close together when you reach the top of the pushup. Alternate sides, so that you are traveling side to side as you do your pushups. DUMBBELL FLYS -- 10 REPS. Move the dumbbells up and down in a CIRCULAR motion, not a PRESSING motion like a bench pres. Keep your arms slightly bent. Isolate your chest as much as possible -- you should feel your chest muscles squeezing together as you do this, and minimal tricep involvement. BENT ARM SIDE LATERAL -- 10 REPS. Keep your arms bent at a 90 degree angle. Raise your arms upwards and to the side. You should feel this in your deltoid (shoulder) muscles primarily. If you are advanced, do this explosively like I do in the video. If you're a beginner, use slower, more strict form and isolate your shoulders more. Be careful with too much back involvement if you're first starting off (it may lead to injury if you're not conditioned to explosive weight lifting moves). BENT OVER SIDE LATERAL -- 10 REPS. Arm mega-pump with 21's for biceps


scoobysworkshop.com 21s are a great exercise. The way I like using them is in conjunction with an arm workout where I am using heavy weights with low reps. I will do my whole workout with heavy weights and low reps but then the last 10 minutes I will do 21s. Its a great contrast and it gives you such a hard pump you'll swear your biceps are gonna burst. Thw biggest problem people have is in choosing the right weight, most people use a weight way too heavy and end up doing 15s or 18s instead of 21s. This exercise beats you up, choose the weight you think is right, then use 25% less! I like to do these with an ez-curl bar but if you can use a straight bar without causing elbow or wrist pain, thats fine too. If you want, you could do 21s with dumbbells too. Basically, use whatever you have even if its 5gallon buckets full of water. Take a shoulder width grip with your palms up. Now the only part of our body that is going to move here is our elbows - everything else is stationary. If you have to rock your torso back and forth then you are using too much weight. So heres how we do the 21s 7 reps bottom half 7 reps top half 7 reps full ROM Some form pointers, first use a mirror - stand sideways so you can see what halfway is. The mirror also helps make sure the elbows are motionless pinned against your side. Dont let them move forward and backward. KILLER!!!!! Rest 1-2 minutes and do it again. If you want an additional challenge, do these on a bosu ball. The balance required <b>...</b>

FEMALE Fitness: howgainmuscle.org .. ntroduction Flavia Del Monte has just released her latest fitness product for females called In Female Fitness Model Body, we discussed three of the most important nutritional considerations in getting that lean sexy body. Now we are going to get into the specifics of how to workout like a fitness model. Here are the three most important elements of a fitness model training program: HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): We all know that cardio is important in maintaining a lean sexy body year round, which is what a fitness model needs to do. However, not just any cardio is going to produce that slender, yet athletic and shapely look. To do that, you will need a specific type of cardio that will help preserve lean muscle tissue so you maintain those toned thighs, defined abs, and firm butt while keeping body fat down to a minimum. This is where HIIT is far superior to traditional steady state cardio. Steady state cardio burns calories while you're doing it, but HIIT produces an "afterburn" effect where you continue to burn calories at an increased rate for several hours after the workout. To do HIIT, simply choose an exercise (jump roping, sprints, squat jumps, etc) that can elevate your heart rate to near maximum and (after you warm up gradually) perform it at 80%-100% max effort for about 60 seconds. Well, with High Intensity Interval Training (also known as HIIT) you can do just that, burn more fat while spending less time in the gym. In this article I will explain how to get the best results from this new and cutting-edge type of cardiovascular training. You have probably been told, just like the rest of us, that in order to burn the greatest amount of fat you need to do cardio for 20 to 60 minutes at a moderate intensity. This will indeed melt the fat away, but HIIT is a more efficient and athlete-friendly way to train and burn fat at the same time. How HIIT Works With HIIT, you will be working harder than you normally work but for about a quarter to a half of the time that you would normally spend on the cardio machine of your choice. HIIT is so intense and effective that you only need 15 to 20 minutes, tops! Here's What You Do: Pick the cardio machine of your choice (treadmill, elliptical, rower, bike, swimming) and perform a 5 minute warm-up. Then take time to stretch properly and you are ready to begin. Start at a moderate pace for 1 minute, then crank up the pace to 90 or 95% of your Maximum Heart Rate (MHR). Continue at this effort for 15 to 20 seconds, then slow down to your starting pace for another minute followed by another all-out sprint for 15 to 20 seconds.
