In order for the United States to be internationally competitive in race walking, we must develop more programs in our schools. Our goal was to make a non-threatening, user-friendly, professionally packaged, standardized, turnkey video. Anyone who watches this video will learn the necessary tools to teach and judge race walkers. Although the video is aimed at school-aged children, persons of all ages can benefit from its instruction. This video is unique because it develops teachers and judges. In the teaching segment of the video, race walking technique is taught using easy to follow, practical examples. This segment also demonstrates common errors and how to correct them. In the judging segment of the video, aspiring judges will learn about race walking violations and how to spot them using easy to understand examples captured on film.
