I am Bill Brownfield, the Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement. I have just completed an excellent conversation with the President of the Republic. And earlier today I had the pleasure of meetings with the Ministry of the Interior, with the Drug Control Agency, and the National Border Guard Service. With the President of the Republic, we had the opportunity to discuss the excellent cooperation that we have enjoyed between our two nations for years. We discussed how our cooperation has protected peoples of Tajikistan, the people of the United States of America, our communities, our children. And we discussed how we can cooperate further and better in the future. We look forward to continued excellent cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States, and I look forward to your questions. Remarks and Q&A: www.state.gov
