I built this from 1/2" foam insulation. The leading and trailing edges of all flying surfaces are shaped to assist with lift. The take-off weight is 17-18oz, depending on which 3s lipo I grab. Awesome flight envelope using 2s 1050mah rhino and grayson hobby microjet v2. Scott did an awesome job creating this bird, so I give him back all the credits for sharing the plan. Some people just don't know how time consuming it is to do DESIGN and TESTING. RCPowers EXTRA 300 maiden
Here is the maiden of my RCPowers EXTRA 300. Before trying a 3S Li-Po 11.1V - 800mAh with 8x4 prop I first used the 2S 7.4V - 1000mAh with 9x4.7 prop. Not a bad choice. The TX was set with 70% dual rate which worked MUCH better then without (thanks "get out and fly - tallguysd"). I think the 3S with 8x4 will make the plane overpowered, even though I only used a 1200kv brushless motor .. This EXTRA 300 is VERY flexible and should actually need some additional carbon crossing along the fuselage. Has anyone experiance with that ?? Next week : the MIG-29 !! RCPowers T-50 v1 Pak-Faf, maiden and crash!
The 1st flight and the last crash of my RC powers T-50 v1 Pak-Faf version 1. Running a graysonhobby super megajet, 70a ESC and a 4cell 2200 40c, 6x4 prop. Top speed was 95mph, elevons only, no airfoil. I have some ideas on how to make it stronger, the fat lady hasn't sung yet..

RC Powers Extra 300
This is my build of an RC Powers Extra 300. This is the first time I've tried 3D stuff with an RC plane. The maiden flight went pretty well. Motor mount broke on touch down, so that ended the test flight. Very happy with the setup and easy first flight. I don't bother peeling the paper off the foam board, waste of time if you have the right motor setup... also saves me trying to think of a color scheme! Used 2 foam board sheets (20x30 inch).... I'm still left with 98 sheets to build more!! (all red and yellow!!)

RCPOWERS F-22 v2 CRASH
This is My crash flight at Oregon Ridge in Hunt Valley. Near the end you will see me scrape the ground and remove a stabilizer. I tryed to bank it left to bring it back around and land it but it kept nosing down and could not bring it back up. What a great crash.

RCPowers F-117 Stealth maiden flight
Again during that windy day (see latest Mustang & MIG-29 vids) I made the maiden of the RCPowers F-117 stealth fighter. It was not the wind that caused the crash but I forgot to switch to 40% dual rate ... So with 100% ailerons & elevator the plane was SO nervous ! And I even couldn't test the bomb hatch.. When it hit the dust the 2600KV motor made short circuit was gone ;-) Thank god for carbon rods (all over the wing edges). She's ready to fly again ! More vids of this F-117 to come ..

RCPowers easybuild MIG-29 maiden flight
Same day as with the last vid of the Mustangs so A LOT of wind. But that didn't seem to bother the RCPowers easybuild MIG-29 ! What a beauty to fly with, even in such hard wind .. Setup was a 2208-8 2600Kv brushless with a 30A ESC, APC 6x4E prop. The battery was a 3S 11.1V 900mAh LiPo but with just 15C discharge capacity and that's too small for 2600Kv + 6x4E prop (motor was holding back and the LiPo was getting quite hot). With a 30C LiPo this MIG-29 will go even faster ! And what a great sound ..... therefore, no Manic Bloom this time ;-)

RCPowers F18 v2 High Speed Flying on Super Megajet
I tried to limit high alpha and concentrate on high speed! This plane is a little limited in high speed performance but hey, its fast with the Grayson Super Megajet pushing it! Used 4x4 mixing today and there is more control in tail winds. Did 40% mix on elevons/ailerons. Also, more control coming out of high alpha with 4x4 mixing. Cooling scoops kept motor cooler. Will push harder on a calm day and with a camera man.

This is a layout of all the parts for making a Extra 300 S foam rc airplane from RCPowers. You can download this PDF for there website for free! If you like it you can buy more PDF's for under 10 dollars. I made this video to show you how to do your layout as economical as possible so you save money on foam. Pause the video so you can see where all the parts have to go.
