This is another 2 liter bottle recycling experiment. I am taking a 2 liter soda bottle and coffee can to make an easier version of my original 2 liter self watering pot. This just might be the easiest DIY self watering container on YouTube. It lowers water consumption by greatly reducing evaporation. Being a sealed system, it keeps insects out of the water supply, especially mosquitoes! You can also easily check check to see if your plant is rootbound. What other planter lets you check your roots?! This is not a huge container but is great for mid stage growth of tomatoes and peppers. It can used for growing herbs such as basil, dill, thyme, cilantro, parsley, chives, oregano and sage. I've even grown radishes and onions in it! It's also awesome for growing lettuce! I'm even using it for mid stage growth of a Moringa tree with great success! I'm going to grow strawberries in it next!
