Redlinger who currently has an exhibit on the 11th floor at Artomatic in Crystal City Virginia. 1300 artists and performers take over an 11-story building and turn it into DC's biggest creative event. Redlinger was born in Los Angeles, CA. After moving to Germany in 1983, she began her studies of art history and in 1987 Cherie received her BA in Art History, from the University of Maryland, European Division. After graduating she returned to the United States of America to study printmaking. She received her MA in Art from California State University, Northridge, in 1990. Despre arta sa, Alma Redlinger afirmă: „Taina picturii o descopăr în natură, în realitatea din jur.
