The Philippine National Police Academy MABIKAS CLASS 2010 was founded on April 17, 2006 at the Campos Ground of Camp Gen. Mariano N. Castañeda in Silang Cavite. MABIKAS stands for "Makabagong Binhi ng Kasaysayan" or "Breed of the New Generation" which was proposed by Cdt. Ryan Canawil Balolang from Northern Luzon which in their local dialect means "strong". "Cogito Ergo Sum" or "I think, Therefore I Am" was the chosen motto of the class. "Win" by Brian McKnight was their prefered Official Class Song. In the Incorporation Rites on June 12, 2006 which was also the 28th founding anniversary of the PNPA, the 224 fourth class cadets of "Mabikas" Class 2010 from the original 307 admitted cadets, were integrated into the PNPA Corps of Cadets. PNPA "Mabikas" Class 2010 was composed of 176 males and 48 females with licensed teachers-8, criminologists-22, medical technologists-1, registered nurse-1, CSC eligibles-8, college graduates-100 and undergraduates-124.
