Replacing Drum Brake Shoes Part 1

Well here it is as promised, the full length version of the replacement of brake shoes. It seems my viewers have an interest in 2 things in particular, brakes and check engine lights so here are some brakes for you. To tell the truth I don't do too many drum brake jobs these days so I'm a little rusty but the principals here are sound and should get you through a basic drum brake job. A couple of things to note here, I replaced the drums on this particular job but if you have enough "meat" left on the drums you can have them machined for a lot less than replacing them. Also, I didn't get the removal of the drum in this video because of time constraints however you can go to the "Drum Brakes, a Quick Look" video to see how to remove them, here's a link. www.youtube.com Watch the next video www.youtube.com I hope this video was helpful, you can always visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com for some of the latest junk I have for you. ericthecarguy.com Stay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information. How To Replace Drum Brake Shoes (Full)

www.ericthecarguy.com Here is a full length version of a video that I posted some time ago, this way you can watch the entire thing in one sitting instead of switching from one video to the next. If your watching this for the first time I'm aware that sandals are not the best thing to wear when doing auto repair. In addition there IS a jack stand just out of frame in the video I just leave the floor jack in place while I work normally where it is so that it's quicker to let the car down when I'm done.Stay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information. Also covered in this video is jacking up the vehicle and putting it on jack stands because I get so many requests for that. Removing and Replacing rear brake drums on 1972 K-20 Chevy Pickup part 1

Removing and Replacing rear brake drums on 1972 K-20 Chevy Pickup part 1 We already took the drum off but I explained briefly some of the steps. In order for the "drum housing" to come off you have to remove all those little "Spaner Nuts" and the spider like clamping ring with the second spanner nut. If you do not do this step, you will not get the Drum housing off. This of course is after we took off the tire Any questions please ask and I'll do my best to answer.
