Again animal life at its best, this time a croc attacks an impala and nearly becomres its prey. Amazingly enough a hippo that is nearby rushes to the aid of the impala. The hippo forces the impala out of the cros mouth and brings it to land, whats more amazing is the hippo tries to revive the wounded animal by providing it with air. Unfortunately the impala dies and becomes the crocs meal.

Chan An animal rights group rescues twenty-eight bears in China. An NGO dedicated to ending animal cruelty in Asia have just released footage of 28 moon bears that were being rescued from a life of torture on bile farms in China. STORY: The animal rights group, Animals Asia Foundation (AAF), say the bears were rescued from a farm in Ziyang, in Sichuan Province. Then they were brought to a rescue center in Chengdu in cramped cages and in shocking condition. Five were already dead. The rights group's founder says the surviving bears were emaciated and wounded in various ways and appeared terrified. Some of the bears were blind... some had shattered teeth and were severely wounded. [Dr. Heather Bacon, AAF Senior Veterinary Nurse]: "We're a little bit worried about the bear here just in front of us. She's basically been lying down in the same position even whilst we've been moving around and off-loading other bears in front of her. She's making a very long groaning noise and she just seems very disinterested in anything that's going on." Bear bile is used in traditional Chinese medicine and the black market trade is thriving. It is believed that more than 7000 bears are imprisoned in the farms across China. The bears are milked daily and kept in tiny metal cages for up to 22 years, before usually dying slowly as a result of chronic infection. I was not there, I'm just another one who is spreading this horrible images to the world. Thank you all, it's beautiful at the end when the chickens are seeing daylight, the SUN. There is a choice the consumer has to be inform about those killing factories, eat less meat or became a vegetarian(getting B12 from other animal sources), work our spirituality, food has to be distributed fairly, those factories has to close, and the elite that wants to destroy us has to go to jail. A shelter dog's story: Watch the story of how an ill-mannered former shelter dog, Vinny Love, transforms into a wonderful companion with talent! I didn't raise him from when he was a puppy. In fact, I know nothing of his history. He's not purebred. And he didn't have the perfect manners, in fact he had aggression issues! However, with training, he was able to transform into a great dog with wonderful manners. I see tons of awesome purebred Retrievers, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Border Collies, and Jack Russell Terriers doing stunts and obedience but Vinny and I are proof that mix-breed shelter dogs can do it too, EVEN the ones with behavior issues! Our goal through these videos is to not only showcase Vinny Love's talent, but more importantly, show the world that there are MILLIONS of remarkable animals just like Vinny being euthanized and KILLED in animal shelters worldwide. This daring rescue too place in Dublin's city center on a beautiful July evening. Let me tell you the story of what happed. A well known and liked homeless man who has fallen upon hard times keeps two pets a small Jack Russell Terrier and a rabbit. They are his companions and rarely leave his side. On this particular evening a young man of 18 decides to commit a horrible act of animal cruelty by stealing the rabbit and tossing in into the river Liffey. The homeless man leaps to the rescue of his beloved pet and braves the tidal river. Miraculously he manages to save the rabbit from drowning but in the process becomes stranded below the bridge. Freezing cold and unable to reach the bank the awaits his own rescue by the Dublin fire brigade. Half way through the rescue the man is seen scuffling with the rescue team this was down to the fact they were taking him away from the bridge where his dog was waiting. Reports after the event claim the person responsible for throwing the rabbit into the river was arrested on charges of public disorder and animal cruelty. he is due in court July 21st to face the charges. The homeless man and his pets are fine and can still be seen begging on the streets of Dublin. The rabbit's name is Bernie and the man's John. When Katrina hit, an incredible group of dedicated volunteers came to East New Orleans facing incredible hardships to rescue over 3000 pets. MuttShack ran a MASH unit, pet shelter and an aggressive ward clinic with Jim Crosby. They stayed and lobbied in support of Senator Fontenot's Pets Act winning the right for people to evacuate with their pets. But the crisis is not over. The act did not provide for all the supplies equipment and training that is necessary pre-storm. Even though people will be evacuated with their pets, equipment, supplies and trained volunteers are still desperately needed.

When heavy flooding hit the residents of Nakon Sawan people were forced to abandon their pets and flee to higher ground. Sangduen (Lek) Chailert took a team of volunteers and staff from the Elephant Nature Foundation to bring food and medicine and care for as many of the suffering and starving animals as possible. The animals are now being cared for at a temple by the Foundation's resident vet and volunteers. Check back later this week for an update.

A tribute to Katrina Animal Rescue..... Especially those volunteering at Camp Katrina, located in Tylertown, MS. and those working at the Winn Dixie in downtown New Orleans. The pictures of the dogs in the water came from various associated press releases after the hurricane. Those pictures were what made me decide to head down to help. Myself, two other technicians and a veterinarian from where I work all headed down, not knowing what we'd find. We arrived just as the camp was getting started. We were the first medical team in the camp. There were people from all walks of life, all races, all religion, all political views. It didn't matter...we were all there for one goal: To rescue and save the animals who fell victim to Hurricane Katrina. The other pictures in the clip were taken by various volunteers in the camp: Lisa & Tammy, Chuck, Carebear, Gonzo, Kimmy and myself. This daring rescue too place in Dublin's city center on a beautiful July evening. Let me tell you the story of what happed. A well known and liked homeless man who has fallen upon hard times keeps two pets a small Jack Russell Terrier and a rabbit. They are his companions and rarely leave his side. On this particular evening a young man of 18 decides to commit a horrible act of animal cruelty by stealing the rabbit and tossing in into the river Liffey. The homeless man leaps to the rescue of his beloved pet and braves the tidal river. Miraculously he manages to save the rabbit from drowning but in the process becomes stranded below the bridge. Freezing cold and unable to reach the bank the awaits his own rescue by the Dublin fire brigade. Half way through the rescue the man is seen scuffling with the rescue team this was down to the fact they were taking him away from the bridge where his dog was waiting. Reports after the event claim the person responsible for throwing the rabbit into the river was arrested on charges of public disorder and animal cruelty. he is due in court July 21st to face the charges. The homeless man and his pets are fine and can still be seen begging on the streets of Dublin. The rabbit's name is Bernie and the man's John. PAWS is a work in progress, we started out in Feb 1997 with the intention to rehome unwanted dogs from their current homes. However, we soon realised the huge amount of abuse, neglect and abandonment of dogs throughout the County and we started to give them shelter and veterinary care... News spread fast and soon we were dealing with cases from Cork and Kerry to Sligo and Donegal... Since that time PAWS, has rescued, vaccinated, neutered and rehomed thousands of dogs and as 70% of these were adults, our neutering programme has prevented millions of unwanted puppies being born and consequently dumped in ditches, dustbins and dog pounds. Sometimes we feel like 'giving up and giving in' but then somebody says a kind word or calls to visit, with a happy, healthy adored pet, which when it originally came in to our care was a quivering, ravenous, petrified mess. Days like those give you the strength to carry on that extra mile. As you may know, we at PAWS depend totally on the public to help us to keep our doors open to abandoned and abused animals. The National Lottery have thus far ignored pleas from Animal Welfare groups to grant aid our work and the Dept of Agriculture very kindly give a small grant each year to rescue centers Sadly, however, this covers only a minute portion of the running costs, which ran to over 300 thousand euro last year. The rest is made up from flag days, fundraisers and donations. We, at PAWS now find ourselves under serious pressure. Our biggest <b>...</b>

A man found a baby squirrel in Hollywood. He put it in a little garden thinking he'd be okay. She is obviously too young to be on her own. I followed his instructions and found her in front of an abandoned bank. We are licensed wildlife rehabilitators. She will be released back to the wild when able. This pitbull was rescued during Christmas season 2009 in South Los Angeles. He is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped pitbull terrier mix. He weighed 52 lbs when he was rescued. He weighs 65 lbs now and it's only been 10 days. I will stop feeding him extra food. He will be available for adoption in a month or so. He needs to heal from his wounds and do more training first. He will pass his canine good citizenship training before adoption. He would probably do better in a home without cats and bunnies. I'm working on his prey drive. Maybe I can conquer it in a month.
