Southern Arizona Rescue Association, (SARA), is a non-profit, all-volunteer search and rescue organization serving southern Arizona and Pima County since 1958. www.sarci.org A women jumped into the middle Turkey Pool, hitting a rock ledge just under the water and injuring both ankles. RMFD and SARA treated and packaged the patient, and the Turkey Chute was prepared for a ground evac. Tucson Ranger returned from a mission in Cochise county and short-hauled the patient to a LifeNet helicopter parked at the SARA parking lot. No report on the extent of the injurys from the hospital.

This is the amazing journey & uplifting story of 150 dogs from California & Arizona, better known as the 'Palmdale & Arizona Dogs.' The original outpouring of public support generated for them paled in comparison to their final RESCUE which took place after their original RESCUE organization, who collected thousands of dollars in donations, left them behind. In her short life, Kelly has seen the best and the worst of humanity. The pit bull terrier puppy, who is believed to be between six and nine months old, was found badly injured and starving, wandering the streets in Philadelphia. When the puppy was taken in by the New Jersey chapter of the animal rescue organization Animal Alliance, it was determined she had been used as a "bait dog," a small dog used to draw out the aggression in fighting dogs. Whether she was abandoned or she escaped, Kelly made it into the hands of a loving foster family in Somerset County. Despite the abuse she suffered, she is friendly and affectionate, making Animal Alliance hopeful that she will find a permanent home when she is ready for adoption in about five weeks. National Mill Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Colorado. We have been in existence since February of 2007 when Theresa rescued our founder, Lily, from Reedgate Kennels in Missouri. When Theresa got to the auction, Lily was sitting up in the back of her cage in the dark barn than she lived in. Lily was sitting on her back legs and rubbing her stomach with her front paws and looking Theresa square in the eyes and asking her for help. Theresa knew that she couldn't leave the auction without Lily and said, "We may have come 800 miles for one dog." That wasn't the case as Lily was worn out, with a rotted jaw and mammary tumors along her entire left side. She brought 40 dollars. I wouldn't sell her for a million dollars. She's brought joy and love to my life from the day she got here. On that day National Mill Dog Rescue began. We have pledged to put an end to the cruelty and evil of the commericial breeding industry. (Industry! Indeed.) Also more commonly known as puppy mills. We do this by educating the public about puppy mills and letting them know that buying dogs in a pet store is wrong. There are many reputable breeders and shelters from which to get dogs. We are three on the board of directors and have over 100 volunteers, without which we couldn't do what we do. Nor could we survive without our genorous contributors which make this all possible. So I say THANK YOU to all our supporters now and in the future.

Our second rescue from beagles who have lived their entire lives inside a research laboratory. These beagles have known nothing except the confines of metal cages. They have known no soft human touch, no warm bed, no companionship, no love. They have never been outside or sniffed a tree or grass. Finally, after years of being poked and prodded, these beagles are FREE! ARME got the call that a facility was willing to release them to us after they had been used in several tests. We picked them up on June 8th and now they are all in loving foster homes, and one has already been adopted.
