Only a couple things. But they're big. The first is, no looping. This means I can't keep doing the same combo and can't keep making him counter attack more than a couple times in a row (the exception is for his 3rd form, else he'll loop his DM move and it'll be too easy). Read more on the whole looping thing later in the description. The other is no magic, which means you have to time his forced counters perfectly or you're getting killed by the Key Whip move. The other day I decided to give this a try, since I never did a restricted version of this. I originally didn't do this because I didn't want to copy Apul's method. But I decided to fight the original Roxas for fun and see how he fights. After a few fights I ended up beating him without using any growth or magic. OF COURSE I DIDN'T RECORD IT. So now that I saw it was possible I tried to record it. And as usual, it took me like 15 tries to pull it off after I already did it. The biggest annoyance is the distance you have to travel to Roxas in TWTNW before the fight triggers. Especially if you have to keep disabling growth after you get to the fight. Very annoying. Either way, here are the restrictions: No Damage No Magic No Drive No Limit No Item No Summons No Armor No Accessories No Growth Abilities! No using stat boosts Only have any of the following abilities equipped: Guard Flash Step Slide Dash Guard Break Scan Combo Plus ???? - Not sure what other ability I had equipped, but it wasn't Combo Master like I thought it was, since you gotta beat Roxas for it --- Yea, believe it or not this was done with only 7 abilities + the weapon ability of Combo Boost. Using Explosion is a bad idea, because it does crap damage to Roxas. Using Counterguard is a bad idea in this case, cuz if you're too far it'll miss, and giving Roxas a chance to attack could get you killed. I threw in no magic, because I found out you can do it. So I do two 3 hit combos with Guard Break finishers <b>...</b>

All it really did though was extend the battle for a minute or two more. Rules: No Damage No Magic No Drive No Limit No Item No Summons No using stat boosts No Glide No Armor No Accesories Kingdom Key only Only have any of the following abilities equipped: Guard Horizontal Slash/Air Side Slash Finisher Rise/Leap Flash Step Slide Dash Guard Break Explosion Aerial Spiral Aerial Sweep Aerial Dive Aerial Finish Counterguard High Jump LV3 Quick Run Lv3 Dodge Roll Lv3 Aerial Dodge LV3 Scan Combo Master Combo Plus (if you want) Finishing Plus (only can be obtained in FM at LV1) ---- The only thing Glide was useful for was dodging the Desperation Move (All shall be lost to you). Without it it complicates things more. Apul figured out how to dodge it with Quick Run, Guard, and Dodge Roll. So I loaded up my LV99 file and had some fun praticing dodging it. I must say, it's really really fun to dodge it this way. It's not so much fun when you're recording it though. For the first part of the DM, it seems guarding it doesn't ALWAYS work. You should be able to get the first hit to always connect, but the second one seems to sometimes not want to connect. Not sure why. You can start dodging the DM by luring him to the left or right and then Quick Running away, as I do twice in the video. As for his actual DM, it's rather easy to dodge with <b>...</b>

Larxene is hands down the most difficult AS fight in a LV1 playthrough. Not only that, but going by Apul's restrictions puts it up to a whole new level of insanity. I'm going to be the one to say that this particular challenge fight was tougher than almost all my hacked fights, all LV1 no damages, and maybe close to triple Sephiroth's difficulty. It took many many tries to get this, I almost put it aside. Here are the rules for this insane fight, most of which were made up by Apul: No Damage No Reflect! No Drive No Limit No Item No Summons No using stat boosts Must complete before Demyx & 1000 Heartless Battle Only have any of the following abilities equipped: Guard Finisher Rise/Leap Flash Step Slide Dash Aerial Spiral Aerial Finish Counterguard Quick Run Lv2 Dodge Roll Lv2 Scan Finishing Plus (only can be obtained in FM at LV1) -- If you were to use Reflect, this fight would be too easy. Without Reflect, you're stuck using insane dodging skills. I did do this a tad different than Apul. For about half of the damage I inflict on Larxene, it's when she's cloned. You might wonder how, but you'll see. The way he does it is fine, but I like this way for me. The combo with Blizzard at the end was his idea of course, I do it only to cause extra damage. You don't need to use magic at all, but it just makes it a tad less insane than it already is. That is probably the most common understanding. This piece was spontaneously composed and played, however, there were some limitations (rules) imposed and some forethought involved. I restricted myself to playing only the 7 notes of the D ionian mode (DEF# GABC#). This is the same as the D major scale. No other notes were played. I only use chords constructed from this modal scale. Setting restrictions actually helps in free improvisation because it narrows your options and makes choices more clear. I also think there is a lot of value in improvising on 7 note modes because it deepens the understanding of 12 note playing when using more complex voicings. In terms of forethought, I had two very short melodic motifs that I used as my base. These little pieces of melody set the structure of the piece and give me something to play off of.

The political fight to keep the gun banners at bay will never end. Expect an ongoing political fight and we need every patriot to step up and be counted. The days of the silent majority are over. Only have any of the following abilities equipped: Guard Air-Side Slash/Horizontal Slash Finishing Rise Retaliating Slash (shouldn't need it if you don't take damage) Flash Step (FM only) Stride Break/Guard Break Explosion Aerial Sweep Aerial Dive (FM only) Air Spiral Aerial Finish Counterguard High Jump LV2 Quick Run LV2 Dodge Roll LV2 Aerial Dodge LV2 Scan Aerial Recovery (shouldn't need it if you don't take damage) Combo Plus (can use one or both) Air Combo Plus (can use one or both) Finishing Plus (only can be obtained in FM at LV1) -- That's the rules and restrictions for my challenge. This was requested by 93Jec who got really lucky because he already had his Brawl Main Theme request filled by Zorsy. As I said, for the collab requests I didn't use a random number generator but instead let my collab partners pick a request of their choice, and Zorsy, ViolinTay and joshi3joshi knew nothing of the others' choices and made them around the same time, so this is just a mere coincidence. Sorry to all the others who made their requests, please no hard feelings towards 93Jec, it was not deliberate and he is not to blame either, lol. I didn't want to restrict my collaborators too far beyond the restrictions imposed by the requests themselves. I can assure you though that joshi3joshi's choice will be a piece requested by someone else :) As for this theme, it's of course as iconic as Frog's character is.
