Trapezius - Rhomboids mid-back muscle stretch


This video demonstrates and effective stretch for the mid-back trapezius and rhomboid muscles. Position yourself as shown in the video with one arm grasping a door frame, and walking around to stabilise the shoulder and to get an effective stretch through the mid-back. The sensation should be mild to moderate, and can be held for a minimum of 30 seconds, to a maximum of 90 seconds, allowing yourself to relax into that sensation of stretch, and feeling the release between your spine and shoulder blade. And then when finished gently come out by turning opposite direction and then unlocking the shoulders.

Chest Training - Dual Cable Chest Press Superset Kettlebell Rhomboid Iso-Hold


This is me and my buddy Matt hitting up some more chest training aftering already having hit all the low rep upper body pressing work (DB shoulder press, flat bench, DB decline chest press). Here we're using a dual cable standing chest press which is probably the single best accessory movement to chest training possible. You'd need a narrow cable stack like I have which also allows the start to be just barely higher than shoulders (so I'm slightly pressing down from where cable is coming out of). We're supersettting this with a 50 second kettlebell rhomboid iso-hold which is killer for hitting the muscles directly opposite the chest (rhomboids between shoulder blades) so that when you're done a pressing workout you're not left in a hunchback, internally rotated position. Overall this iso-hold is top notch for posture endurance which we all need! For more info see www.adriancrowe.com
