Hey, some of you might of already seen this video, but i have taken down the old version and uploaded this new one, as i rendered it to widescreen and hopefully HD too. I havent had Sony Vegas for long, and this is my first video made with it. I'm still messing around with it, using new effects key framing stuff, doing shadows, I'm only 14 at the moment but I like making vids and designing Logos and Web layouts. I hope to get some recognition in this competition, doubt I will win, (I'll keep hoping) could really use that Action Essentials, Keep making vids Rich and these competitions, hope one day I'll win.

A small video of my car spining at the MLR 30-130 day at RAF Marham 03/11/07 - previous run of 182mph went fine, second run i removed the rear spoiler as it was bending alot at high speed; i hoped it would give me another 10mph, instead it gave me zero down force and zero stability once i came off the gas! Took a deep breath and held on until the ride finished! Some stats from the V-Box data logging: I lifted at 183mph and it only took 5mph for it to become unstable and went into a spin at 168 mph. Maximum spin angle was 142.55 degrees at 114mph before starting to spin back the other way. The spin lasted over over 330metres.

There are many ways to speed up and slow down video footage. For best slow mo the higher fram rate camera the better. Here is one way to create a demon face. Not good if there is a lot of moving of the actor as you would have to key frame the masks. You can also place the copied clip UNDERNEATH the main clip and mask out the mouth area on the main vid (it will give a better blend but you will struggle to to the eyes)

Here is a tutorial of just one way of making a cool teleport or wormhole effect. You could replace the noise texture with a clip of smoke that you might have or create smoke in something like Effectslab or AE. Experiment with the settings I am sure you could come up with something much slicker.

A long awaited tutorial. Having had a break from Youtube I have had a look and seen what effects viewers have asked for and a lot wanted a muzzle flash fx. Although there is no muzzle flash generator in Sony Vegas I have come up with a way to give a half realistic effect. I am also trying out effectslab pro from FXhome. fxhome.com They have fully customisable muzzle flashes and great masking tools as well as particle generators for smoke, fire, blood etc and easy to make light sabers/neon effects, colour grading and optic effects.
