Riot Police Bust Wheeler Block Party 2011

A team of riot police (West Central Illinois Mobile Field Force) is called in after the Wheeler Block Party 2011 gets out of control. This was brought on by numerous reports of dangerously high BAC levels, the traditional "bike toss", and the subsequent burning of the bicycle as well as the damaging (complete uprooting) of a stop sign. The block party was going good up until that point. Then it got better.

Riot police violently disperse Occupy DC with batons

National Park Service police began slowly dismantling the Occupy DC encampment at McPherson Square on K Street early Saturday morning. Over the course of several hours, cops asked protesters to leave while authorities in hazmat suits combed the park and removed tents. Despite protesters insisting that the temporary structures were in compliance with the latest regulations imposed on the demonstrators, the cops continued to clear out the park throughout the course of the day. With only a small section of McPherson still spared by late afternoon, authorities eventually moved in and used force to clear the rest of the park. Protesters, passersby and journalists alike were assaulted as cops clad in riot gear stormed into the crowd and attacked anyone on the scene. Here cops are showing forcing a group of people out of the park with plastic shields and batons, only for them to fall into the mud and be crammed into a fence that prevented them from easily vacating the premises. Several arrests were reported, including one photojournalist, and many others were injured in the raid, including one RT cameraman.

Vancouver: Riot/Police

realvancity.com Vancouver: Riot / Police takes a candid look at the police involvement of the 2011 Stanley Cup riots in Vancouver, BC. On June 15th, 2011, the Vancouver Canucks lost 4-0 to the Boston Bruins in game seven of the Stanley Cup finals. Approximately 100000 disappointed fans were gathered at Georgia and Hamilton streets, watching the game on big screens set up by the city near the CBC building in downtown Vancouver. Some of these fans took it upon themselves to emulate the actions of drunken fans seventeen years ago when the Vancouver Canucks lost to the New York Rangers in game seven of the 1994 Stanley Cup finals. This video is meant to document the actions of the police that night and to provide some insight into the public's reaction to the events. I hope you enjoy the film. A special thanks goes out to Andy Fang for the gracious permission to use his cleanup portraits in the montage paying tribute to the volunteers at the end. www.andyfangphotography.com Thanks also goes out to mobygratis.com for the music featured in the third part of the film. Thank you, Moby. Last but not least, I would like to thank JIM for his tremendous research and fact-checking efforts and for the continued support through the past two weeks. Riot between Students and Police , Rock and Tear Gas Out at Quebec Canada May 4, 2012

Demonstrators break though a barrier as provincial police officers stand by outside the Quebec Liberal Party meeting in Victoriaville, Que., on Friday, May 4, 2012 Riot police at a Quebec Liberal Party convention used tear gas against hundreds of protesters who descended on the scene Friday evening in Victoriaville. Though it's believed that the Jean Charest Liberals moved their annual gathering to Victoriaville to avoid students in urban centres, Friday's event quickly took a turn for the worse when demonstrators faced off against police. The Canadian Press reported that some protesters beat up a provincial police officer, while riot police responded with chemical irritants and stun grenades. The protesters have been raging against proposed tuition hikes in the province, which would see the cost of post-secondary education go up by $1625 over several years. Dozens of busses carrying protesters came to Victoriaville from urban centres like Montreal and Quebec City. Victoriaville is about 160 kilometres northeast of Montreal. The student protest began more than 80 days ago, and student groups have demanded that the Charest government back away from the proposed hike. CTV Montreal reporter Laura Casella was caught in the middle of the mayhem and filed a short report. "Of course my eyes are burning a little bit right now," she said. "The riot police are here behind me. They've launched pepper spray and tear gas into the crowd. Things took a turn for the worse very quickly ...

May 20, 2012- Montreal police under fire after video surfaces of officers pepper spraying bar patrons source: www.thestar.com Montreal police pepper-spray bar patrons amid protest- CBC News "A day after a sometimes violent Montreal protest ended in a series of street fires, police were criticized for pepper-spraying patrons at a nearby bar patio. Surveillance footage shows several people on the St-Bock Brasserie terrace being sprayed at close range by police in riot gear. As other customers at the St-Denis Street bar scurry inside, an officer barrels through a tangle of tables and chairs. Another video from a local TV station shows the officers took action after one was hit by a chair that someone threw. The chair was then flung back toward the patio. "About one foot from the faces of my clients, police also threw this," said bar owner Martin Guimond, holding up an empty muzzle blast. "They created panic, they destroyed the terrace and people scrambled inside, throwing themselves over each other. Everyone left without paying." A waitress told him to call 911, then said, "But wait, it's the police that are doing this," Guimond recounted. "That's when you realize there's a total breakdown of order." source: www.cbc.ca Montreal cops seen pepper spraying bar patrons MONTREAL — Montreal police are being criticized over an altercation caught on video that shows a group of patrons on a patio bar getting pepper sprayed during a protest Saturday night. This is a clip detailing the abuses committed by the riot police employed by the Bahrainian government. Please watch and share. All the Bahraini police are from other countries such as Yemen, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and even former members of Saddam Hussein's special forces. They go through intense thirty day torture-training to essentially become animals and swear full allegiance to the Bahraini king. They are not native Bahraini citizens and this makes it almost impossible to cause them to defect and makes them not care at all about the consequences of their horrible actions. They use tear gas on women, children, the elderly, and peaceful demonstrators. They kick women. They beat children. They stab demonstrators. They shoot tear gas in to homes. They light homes on fire. They shoot people in their cars. They are the worst unadulterated evil scum on the planet. Please support freedom for the citizens of Bahrain. They are paying an incredible price for things we take for granted.
