Ritchie Blackmore - Rare Interview (1997) VERY RARE FOOTAGE!

This is one of the best interviews that i've seen with Ritchie. He talks fantastically about 6 Deep Purple songs. And he explains how, when, from where, from what they became, with fabulous examples after each song, made by Japanese interviewers. The songs are: Mandrake Root Black Night Speed King Smoke On the Water Lazy Highway Star Pay attention at the end when he talks about Highway Star, and mentions Gillan and what he says about him ! Believe me you can't often hear Ritchie talking about Ian in that way !

Wildest Ritchie Blackmore solo ever

As a massive Ritchie Blackmore fanatic (Deep Purple/ Rainbow/ Blackmore's Night), I would have to say that, in my humble opinion, this is THE wildest (and fastest...and "jazziest") Ritchie Blackmore solo I have ever seen or heard...well, on film/ video, at least. And, to think: this is from 1970. The man is a genius! Wild abandon, killer scales, bends, jazzy playing, classical, country, "God Save The Queen", ONE HANDED WHILE DRINKING A BEER (no joke!), etc. :)[and, hey, humor me: check out some of my playing. You will hear the scales/ phrasing of Blackmore...the speed of Yngwie...and the bends of Hendrix, all mixed into a stew of my own making :) ]PLEASE CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER VIDEOS! :) See also: www.ctka.net www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk www.myspace.com wink.com About me: Vincent Palamara was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Sociology. In fact, Vince would go on to study the largely overlooked actions - and inactions - of the United States Secret Service in unprecedented detail, as well as achieving a world's record in the process, having interviewed and corresponded with over seventy former agents (the House Select Committee on Assassinations had the old record of 46 with a 6 million dollar budget and supboena power from Congress), not to mention many surviving family members, White House aides, and even quite a few ...

Ritchie Blackmore - Rainbow - Gates of Babylon

Ritchie Blackmore -- guitar/bass Ronnie James Dio -- vocals David Stone -- keyboard Bob Daisley -- bass Cozy Powell -- drums Nice clip of the band playing along to this song. Dio's vocals sound live (?) but I think the rest of the band is just miming. Fantastic line-up that we'll never see again unfortunately; rest in peace Cozy and RJD. Best Ritchie Blackmore solo - Catch the Rainbow Live

This is the stunning guitar solo from the song Catch the Rainbow off the live album Rainbow in Germany 1976. This solo showcases the amazing improvisation skills of Ritchie Blackmore and also contains some crazy shredding. A must hear for any Blackmore fan. The entire song is 14 minutes long so I've only uploaded the solo along with a bit of the end. This solo is ranked 3rd best live solo of all time here forums.nutsie.com

Ritchie Blackmore Style Legato Guitar Lesson - Lick Of The Week

Please like on Facebook to get all the latest lesson updates! Just go here! www.facebook.com Please Like, Comment, Favorite and Subscribe to help this lesson get more views. Thanks!! In this installment of our "Lick Of The Week" series at www.GuitarLessons365.com we will take a look at a legato lick in the style of the great Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. Be sure to download the free TAB PDF for this lesson so you can more easily follow along. You can get it here www.guitarlessons365.com This Ritchie Blackmore style legato lick uses slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs across multiple strings to create a slippery sounding lick that can be quite deceiving to the ear. Although it is in straight sixteenth note triplets, you will notice that the use of all of the various legato techniques help to mask that strict 16th note triplet feel. Take your time and slowly work this lick up to speed and make sure that all of the notes are articulated correctly. It might be a good idea to count out loud the timing of the lick in the beginning while you play it like I do briefly in the video. So have fun with this cool Ritchie Blackmore style legato lick! I hope you can easily add it to you bag of tricks whenever you want to show a little of that Blackmore mojo. :) Please remember that these free lessons are only possible with your support at GuitarLessons365.com. Greatest Ritchie Blackmore Solo

9/17/70: The night before Jimi Hendrix died, Ritchie Blackmore laid down an amazing guitar piece in Jon Lord's (Deep Purple) Gemini Suite: Guitar movement. Tremendous playing...and with an orchestra, to boot; way head of his time. Enjoy...how could you not? :) About me:Vincent Palamara was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Sociology. Although not even born when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, Vince brings fresh eyes to an old case. In fact, Vince would go on to study the largely overlooked actions - and inactions - of the United States Secret Service in unprecedented detail, as well as achieving a world's record in the process, having interviewed and corresponded with over seventy former agents (the House Select Committee on Assassinations had the old record of 46 with a 6 million dollar budget and supboena power from Congress), not to mention many surviving family members, White House aides, and even quite a few Parkland and Bethesda medical witnesses for a corresponding project. The result was Survivor's Guilt; The Secret Service & The Failure To Protect The President, a very successful self-published book that sold thousands of copies in the 1990's before becoming a free online e-book in 2006. In addition, the aforementioned corresponding project on the John F. Ritchie Blackmore [HD] Walter Giardino The Best Disciple-For Japan 2011

Walter Giardino needs no introduction to hard rock and metal fans in South America. Leader and founder of Argentinean band Rata Blanca, Walter is one of the most influential guitarists of the continent having sold millions of albums worldwide. After more than 20 years he continues to sell out venues including a complete sold out show on the 4th of June 2011, which gathered over 8000 fans at Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires, where generations of fans celebrated with the band the 20th Anniversary of their Triple Platinum album "Magos, Espadas & Rosas". Walter's solo career begun in 1998 with the release of "Temple". A hard rock master piece which gave him more room artistically to develop a fesher and more powerful style which was noticed outside South America. In later years, after returning to Rata Blanca in 2001 and thanks to his solo venture, he performed with rock legends such as Glenn Hughes, who was a special guest of Rata blanca at few shows, one of which was recorded on DVD. In 2008 Walter invited singer Doogie white (former Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen) to record Rata Blanca's latest album "El Reino Olvidado" in English, known as "The Forgotten Kingdom". The Spanish version by Rata Blanca had reached Gold status in Argentina alone on the week of its release. In 2009 "The Forgotten Kingdom" was released followed by a series of presentations with Doogie White in Argentina. After the success of the shows and obvious chemistry onstage, Walter and ...

Ritchie Blackmore's "Anybody there" - teaching example

The purpose of this material is to help my students learn particular techniques, used in this beautiful piece. There are some mistakes in the backing track I cannot correct because I lost the multitrack in 1996:-)Thats the reason for the bad sound, too. The guitar stuff is interpreted - understand "not 100% like the original". I am trying to stay close to the main concept. Good luck!
