The Bodysnatchers were a seven-piece ska/rock-steady outfit from London. Formed in mid-1979 during the British ska-revival movement by bassist Nicola (Nicky), who placed an ad in Melody Maker looking for like-minded band-mates, it was the only all-female band of the of the 2-Tone era. They were fronted by vocalist and song-writer Rhoda Dakar who later went on to join the Special AKA; their first gig was on Saturday, Novemebr 24, 1979 at the Windsor Castle pub in London.

This is the official trailer for the documentary, Lynn Taitt: Rocksteady directed by Generoso Fierro. The film is a winner of two awards at the 2007 Hollywood Documentary and Fiction Film Festival. The trailer was co-created and edited by Emeen Zarookian. The film will premiere in the Boston area at the New England Film and Video Festival on October 6th, 2007. The film contains interviews with The Melodians, The Clarendonians, Cedric Brooks, Ran Blake and many more.

Rock Steady Crew's Rhythm Technicians videoclip Further info from Kwik Step himself: ""Rhythm Technicians" -a dance collective was doing shows and as we ventured into a theater piece called "So What Happens Now", Mr. Wiggles who was also a member of RT invited two original members of RSC -Crazy Legs as well as Ken Swift - to be a part of the production. I was a part of Rhythm Technicians along with several others in the video. For history's sake it it should be known that RT was the catalyst in helping to keep Hip Hop n Funk alive. Especially when it came to Hip Hop classic dance styles and theater. Because of RT being underground and RSC being so commercially known world wide, people automatically assume this is only a RSC venture ie when you post it Rock Steady - Rhythm Technicians people tend to think its a song by RSC. When in fact it was two groups that eventually came under the umbrella name later known as Ghetto Original. Peace, Kwikstep."

I OWN NOTHING! ALL IMAGES CAME FROM PHOTOBUCKET! ALL MUSIC BELONGS TO REMY SHAND AND MOTOWN RECORDS! Shand was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Doug and Lana Shand. His father was of Scottish/English descent and his mother was of Italian descent. By the age of 12, Shand had learned to play the guitar and acoustic bass. While many people during the 1980s and 1990s were influenced by early hip hop and pop, his father was into soul. According to Shand, his father influenced and exposed Shand to R&B/soul acts including Steely Dan, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Herbie Hancock, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder and Blood, Sweat and Tears. During his home schooling in Winnipeg, he listened to his parents' R&B, blues and soul albums, spending a lot of time in his basement sampling retro music. Shand's love of funk music made him an outcast. His parents encouraged him to earn his GED, and to work on his music as a project. He also attended Garden City Collegiate for his Grade 11 year of studies. At the age of 19, Shand sent a demo tape to Steve Warden. Warden then became his manager and helped to find Shand a prominent record deal. Two different labels gave Shand offers for a recording deal but he turned down the offer. Fortunately Universal Music Canada had signed Shand to a record deal with Motown Records in the United States. Shand began recording and mixing his debut album, The Way I Feel, during the spring of 2001 at his home in Winnipeg, performing and recording the tracks for vocals <b>...</b>
