Rose Elinor Dougall : Third Attempt : Union Chapel Islington : 27 April 2010
Rose Elinor Dougall performs Third Attempt live at the Union Chapel Islington in London on 27 April 2010, supporting British Sea Power. The main event of the evening was a live performance of BSP's acclaimed soundtrack to the 1934 documentary film 'Man of Aran' and, although Rose Dougall was their only support act, she did not open the show! Strangely enough, BSP filled that slot themselves with what was billed as an acoustic set, but was in reality, a full electric set, played sitting down! Rose's somewhat ethereal Cocteau Twins flavoured set was perfectly suited to the Union Chapel acoustics and really rather lovely. Rose Dougall played again with BSP at the Tan Hill Festival the following weekend and seems to be winning herself a good few fans along the way. Third Attempt will be included on Rose Elinor Dougall's debut album, Without Why, due for release on 30 August 2010.
