Home Alone - Romania

Romania's disturbing child suicide rate To see more go to www.youtube.com Follow us on Facebook (goo.gl or Twitter (www.twitter.com As their parents go to work abroad, over 350000 Romanian children are being left home alone. This powerful report asks why, in the care of relatives or neighbours, many of these children are turning to suicide. "We had no income, nothing", says Claudia Ira. Unable to feed her children in Romania, Claudia was forced to leave them behind and go to find work in Italy. But after a few months abroad, she received the terrible news that her son had taken his own life. Her tragic story is just one of thousands of similar cases. Another desperate mother cries, "I thought it would be for our good", as she tries to come to terms with her son's suicide after she also went abroad looking for work. A beautiful and sensitive telling of a terrible story. May 2011

EFEMÉRIDES.- La gimnasta rumana Nadia Comanecci cumple hoy 50 años

Madrid, 12 nov (EFE).- La gimnasta rumana Nadia Comanecci cumple hoy cincuenta años.
