Yellow-rumped Cacique,Arrendajo Culiamarillo (Cacicus cela)

Yellow-rumped Cacique, Cacicus cela, is a passerine bird in the New World family Icteridae. It breeds in much of northern South America from Panama and Trinidad south to Peru, Bolivia and central Brazil. The Yellow-rumped Cacique is a bird associated with open woodland or cultivation with large trees. It is a colonial breeder, with up to 100 bag-shaped nests in a tree, which usually also contains an active wasp nest. The females build the nests, incubate, and care for the young. Each nest is 3045 cm long and widens at the base, and is suspended from the end of a branch. Females compete for the best sites near the protection of the wasp nest. The normal clutch is two dark-blotched pale blue or white eggs. Females begin incubating after laying the second egg; hatching occurs after 13 or 14 days. The young fledge in 34 to 40 days, usually only one per nest. This is a slim bird, with a long tail, blue eyes, and a pale yellow pointed bill. It has mainly black plumage, apart from a bright yellow rump, tail base, lower belly and wing epaulets. The female is smaller and duller black than the male, and the juvenile bird resembles the female, but has dark eyes and a brown bill base. The male is 28 cm long and weighs 104 g, and the female is 23 cm long and weighs 60 g. This gregarious bird eats large insects and fruit. The song of the male Yellow-rumped Cacique is a brilliant mixture of fluting notes with cackles, wheezes and sometimes mimicry. There are also many varied calls, and ...

Another clip of male white-rumped shama incubates the eggs

This clip shows the male white-rumped shama enter the nest and incubated the eggs on a different day than previous clip. You can see toward the end that the female shama has to push her mate out of the nest so that she can resume the incubation.

Yellow Rumped Warbler Bird

This Yellow Rumped Warbler is one of many birds that visit my backyard frequently now that the Sparrow Population has been reduced in the area surrounding my home. I hung the Suet Feeder right in front of my target backstop so that if any undesirable birds such as Sparrows or Starlings stop by, I can eliminate them with the air rifle.

Gray Singing Finch, (White-Rumped Seedeater)

In the finch world, the Gray finch "Serinus Leucopygius" is certainly one of Nature's dowdier creations: it resembles a washed-out sporrow. But the balance is equated by the fact that the Gray singer,is by far a superior singer to it's fine-feathered relatives. The male has a very sweet song,& is a very active bird.Thank God for the Birds!

Yellow-Rumped Seed Eater.(Serinus Atrogularis)

The "Yellow-Rumped Serin" looks like a cross between a "Grey Finch" & a "Green Singing Finch" Origin Tropical Africa, size 4ins(10cm),Drab gray in color with cream streaking throughout the body plumage. The males are excellent songsters rivaling that of a male Canary if not better. The tours are long and sings non-stop, & i might add, an Opera Singer of the Finch family. It`s very hard to have one in full song. This fellow is young only 5 months.Thank God for the birds!!

Red-rumped Parrot washing

This is my Red-rumped Parrot, he really likes washing one time a week. But when somebody is watshing on him, he will not go to the water, so I have to start the camera and hide myself behind the corner. Look at the video, how the parrot is lazy to just jump in to the water, instead of it, he is walking around and biting the bowl
