Nuremberg Case #8 RuSHA (Lidice)
The "RuSHA Case"charged 14 defendants , who were high officials in the Race and Settlement Office of the SS Elite Guard and related offices, with carrying out the systematic programs of genocide. The Defendants were accused of criminal responibility for many aspects of the Nazi program,includng the kidnapping of "racially valuable" children and the persecution and extermination of Jews thoughout Germany and German occupied Europe. This film shows excerpts of two witnesses. The first is identified as 15year old Maria Dolezaloa who was among the children kidnapped by German forces after they destroyed the Town of Lidice, Czechoslavakia. Also, there is an excerpt from a film entitled "Seeds of Destiny" depicting the destrucion of Lidice. The trial ran from October 20, 1947 through Feb. 7, 1948. 8 Defendants were found guilty and received sentences from10 years to life. For furhter information see www.roberthjackson.org
