Panasonic SDR-S26 Video Test
Panasonic SDR-S26 Test I replaced my Canon FS100 (may it RIP) with a Panasonic. The zoom is more powerful (70x optical vs the 48x of the Canon). My first day of owning the Panasonic SDR-S26, to me it seems that the auto-focus isn't quite as accurate as my former Canon FS100, it wants to 'hunt' more. Low-light capability seems to be a little bit better. I notice more lens flare with the Panasonic, probably the lens coatings or the glass isn't quite as quality as in the Canon. The S26 feels a little delicate, I wouldn't want to bang it around very much.

But that's only if you shot in widescreen PAL. Resizing to 720p an NTSC widescreen or a PAL/NTSC 4:3 signal is not a good idea. Search with Google and install: VirtualDub, MPEG-2 VirtualDub plugin, "Deinterlace - area based" VirtualDub plugin and ffdshow. VirtualDub Menu: 1- File, Open video file, *.mpg; 2- Video, Filters, Add, deinterlaced area based, OK; 3- Video, Filters, Add, warp resize, OK, Target width 1280 and Target height 720, OK, OK; 4- Video, Compression, ffdshow video codec, Configure, Encoder: MPEG-4, FOURCC: DIVX, Bitrate (kbps): 5000, OK, OK; 5- Video, Full Processing Mode; 6- File, Save as AVI, *.avi.

Scammell s26 8*6. Later model, badged Leyland-Daf, under a pre-Paccar ownership joint venture (post 1993). This venture failed, and DAF was rescued by a management buy-out. Leyland went back to become Leyland Trucks. Daf was purchased in 1996 by Paccar, but Leyland too was purchased by Paccar in 1998, bringing the names back together again. The name SCAMMELL, which was resigned to special duty vehicles) was purchased under this agreement. Leyland trucks are still made, but are badged 'DAF'. The S26 't45' cab is no longer in production, as it is too similar to the Cabtec DAF cab - which is sold as a special duty vehicle in the USA under the name Kenworth. This Scammell S26 is British Army 'DROPS' configuration (8x6). The flat rack on the back is demoutable hydraulically. The engine is a Rolls Royce Eagle Mk3 305 6 cylinder diesel developing 297hp. All Army S26s' are left hand drive due to deployment areas. Lots are still in service in 2008 in Iraq and Afganistan, representing the British army (a fitting prediciment perhaps, as the S26 was one of the last true british trucks ever made). Soon to be replaced by already-purchased MANs, the fleet will be retired, handed over to the TA , and sold at government auction. Note the 'warp speed captain!!!' parking brake lever, rear winscreen wipers and lack of tachograph...

The Bill S26 E02 part 1: DC Terry Perkins visits a clinic for rape victims, and is horrified when 16 year old Janine Clark says she was raped by her boyfriend Mark Watts and his three friends, Greg Holbrook, Paul Hayes and Leo Cooper a few days ago. Another example of the camera's 70x optical zoom. I had to move whilst filming to try to get the shot for longer before it disappeared out of sight, which isn't a good idea at 70x, I'm amazed the image stabilisation did as well as it did really. If you stand still the image is fine. The window is dirty also which doesn't help the autofocus.

November 20, 2010 - Kodad Launch Complex A Minotaur rocket topped with a payload of eight satellites launched Friday from the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska. The booster orbited a cache of experiments to prove new space capabilities and exercise growing minds. The satellites launches are: STPSat 2, FASTRAC 1, FASTRAC 2, FalconSat 5, FASTSat-HSV 01, O/OREOS, RAX y NanoSail D2.

A a short test film of my brothers new panasonic sdr s26 flash camcorder. For its price it's amazing value, some of the shots in this video were mangaed by the cameras auto features, but most were composed by myself using the wealth of manual functions such as WB, Iris, focus and Shutter control which are very uncommon amongst such budget camcorders usually. Also, no tripods or extra equipment were used including no colour correction, what you see here was what i could acomplish with the camera fresh out of it's packaging.
