Karpal: Judge should act over Saiful's TV3 interview
Lead counsel for Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case Karpal Singh has said that the presiding Judge should act over the plaintiff Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's interview on TV3. "I think the Judge should do something... Judges have a duty, you know, on the spot, issue a show cause letter. I think that is what the Judge should do. On August 16, TV3's prime news programme Buletin Utama had aired an exclusice interview with Saiful over his predicament as a result of the case. However, Karpal refused to elaborate further, pointing out that the case was ongoing. Karpal was speaking at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today after interviewing another witness, Puswari staff nurse Yazihan Jusoh with senior lawyer Param Cumaraswamy and Sankara Nair. Anwar was also present during the interview.

Mian Muhammad Bakhsh میاں محمد بخش was born in 1830 in Chak Thakra in the Khari area in the current Mirpur District in the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, northeast of District Jhelum in Punjab. His ancestors were Paswal Gujjars of Jammu in the State of Jammu and Kashmir who had immigrated to the Jhelum and Gujrat districts of Northern Punjab bordering Kashmir. Mian Muhammad Bakhsh's father was Mian Shamsuddin, whose forefathers had moved to the Khari area in Mirpur from Chak Bahram in the Gujrat District. Four generations of Mian Muhammad's family had been associated with the tomb of Pir-e Shah Ghazi in Khari Sharif, a well respected Sufi saint of the area. His great grandfather (Mian Din Muhammad) was the khalifah or successor of the saint, and his grandfather and father were the sajjadah nasheens. Mian Muhammad Bakhsh and his older brother Mian Bahawal Bakhsh studied Hadith from the madressah of Hafiz Muhammad Ali at Samwal Sharif. He was well educated in Farsi and Arabi. From an early age, he showed keen interest in poetry. He was especially fond of Yousuf Zuleikha of Abdur Rehman Jami. Following the completion of his education, he became a disciple of Pir Ghulam Muhammad. At his instructions, he traveled to Srinagar and was accepted into the circle of Sheikh Ahmad Wali. Lake Saiful Muluk (Urdu: سیف الملوک) is a lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley (34°52′37.34″N 73°41′37.71″E / 34.8770389°N 73.6938083°E / 34.8770389; 73.6938083) near Naran. It is in the north east of Mansehra District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. At an altitude of 3224 m (10578 feet) above sea level it is amongst one of the highest lakes in Pakistan. The lake is accessible by a 14 km road from Naran (which is accessible by a road from Mansehra via Balakot and Kaghan) during the summer months. On foot, the trek from Naran to the lake takes about 1-2 hours. The water is clear with a slight green tone. The clarity of the water comes from the multiple glaciers all around the high basin which feed the lake. The weather here is moderate during day time while the temperature drops to minus degrees at night. A fairy tale called Saiful Muluk, written by the famous sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, is associated with the lake.[1] It is the story of prince of Persia who fell in love with a fairy princess at the lake The impact of the lake beauty is of such extent that people believe that fairies come down to lake in full moon.
