This model airport is highly modified so as to not take over my entire house and has been reduced to roughly 150 inches long by about 60 inches wide. Hope to add some cargo buildings in the future and touch up the remote international terminal/ parking as well. The remote terminal/ parking is new and nearly complete at this point. I have expanded twice but have pretty much run out of real estate so to speak. :)

This will more than likely be the final video of my international airport as these video creations are extremely time consuming and I just do not have the time anymore. It was nearly impossible to get this one completed. As the title indicates the video is time specific and is designed to show glimpses of a typical day of operations at my airport. If you get through the entire video you are nearly as crazy as I am for making it! Alertness is required as this is very fast pace and you must pay attention to keep track of the continual arrivals and departures. Due to my commitment to not exceed 15 minutes at any cost, some of the morning arrivals towed to the remote who have scheduled late night departure times do not depart within the time frame of this video. There are also some carriers missing such as AZ, TG, AB, AV ect that operate restricted day service and or are charter flights not arriving this day. New in this video is an updated/redesigned Cargo ramp to accommodate more cargo and planes and features a new larger building as well. The remote parking/ stands are not as remote as they used to be as there is a new main terminal segment that has added a number of new gates at the main terminal. There is also the creation of a narrow body holding pad for four aircraft maximum. As is obvious there are some new carriers, equipment changes and increased frequencies since the last video. Blackpool Resort International Airport, Formly Bme Blackpool International Airport is a 1:400 scale model airport based within Britians most famous sea side resort, Blackpool. The airport uses Gemini Jet, Phoenix, Herpa models etc for the die cast aircraft models. The airport has three terminals, Terminal One (V1) is for Virgin Atlantic Operations and Emirates A380 flights. Terminal two is an unoffical One World terminal, handing other airlines which are not in the one world group in for the best aircraft management. Blackpool Resort International Airport, formally Bme International Airport. The Airport is Back with a BANG now with three brand new terminals and many other majopr changes. Many people, including my self will say its been a long time snice the last video was uploaded it been a few months now snice i finished the airport. People on Wings900 would have seen the pictures first. But the reason the airport revamp has taken a while is that it was used a temp railway layout for a 9 car Virgin Trains Pendolino. Also whats the point in rushing. But now she is back under the great new name of Blackpool Resort International and is a hun for Virgin Atlantic Airways. Terminal one is the Virgin Terminal which is hand made and painted in to the virgin colours, the jet bridges were made by Gemini Jets and a hole was drilled to keep the, in place. Terminals two and three are made up from the Gemini Jets airport terminal set. There are a number of aircraft stands across the airport to allow extra space in order to get as many people on there ways as we can. Also there is a new hanger been bulit snice the last video. This time its based on the Hanger at London Heathrow Airport LHR for Virginb Atlantic VS. The other hanger is for Monarch Aircraft Engineering. My first video of my little 1:400 Scale Airport model, basically showing the planes lined up on the apron, and giving the illusion that you are in the departure hall looking out to board the plane. Main reason for this is that i currently do not have enough space to build a full scale airport, so for now its just these "mini" model airports, i plane to make another one but with a runway theme. The GSE is all dragon wings, very nice little pieces, have more on order and will soon be getting the 1:400 scale Herpa people to make it that much more realistic. I have cut the board to size so that it fits perfectly in my display shelf. JGR International Airport Diorama 1;400 Scale: My 1:400 scale diorama of a ficticious airport called JGR Int'l (Jonathan George Rapley). The terminal was home made, using a plank of wood used in wooded floors (smooth side shown) and card stuck on. The ground foils are 1:400 scale and were downlaoded for printout by sasmd90 on diecastaircraftforum.com (DA.C). My models are all 1:400 scale Gemini Jets. This airport is a project that took 3 men 5 weeks to complete. Almost every component (except for the aerobridges, aircrafts etc.) was painstakingly designed, constructed and painted. It measures about 2.4m by 1.2m. No pre-printed aerodrome mat was used and the aerodrome details/demensions were also carefully calculated and planned. Do take note that the runway is made much shorter because it would be too long to make an exact 1:400 scale runway on the board used and we wanted to showcase the change of lighting colour as the runway approaches the end.
