Moyes on regular games - Everton v West Brom | Premier League 2012

Everton have Steven Pienaar available again after the on-loan South African was cup-tied for the FA Cup quarter-final replay win at Sunderland. Injured Jack Rodwell (hamstring) and Seamus Coleman (thigh) are yet to return to action. West Brom will be without midfielder James Morrison, who could miss the rest of the season with knee ligament damage. Paul Scharner and Graham Dorrans will be in contention to replace him. MATCH PREVIEW It was a pretty eventful match the last time these two met in the Premier League at Goodison Park, back in November 2010. West Brom won 4-1 and both sides had a player sent off. The opening goal was scored by Paul Scharner, and don't be particularly surprised if he scores again this weekend. The Austrian international has got 21 Premier League goals with Wigan and West Brom since moving to England in 2006; and five of those have come against Everton. Four of those five have come at Goodison Park, and all four of those were scored at the Gwladys Street end. I wonder what odds you'd get on him repeating the feat? Everton supporters will arrive at this match in buoyant mood - with their side having progressed through to the FA Cup semi-finals with victory at Sunderland on Tuesday. A Wembley date against Liverpool is just a fortnight away, but I'm absolutely certain that manager David Moyes won't be looking any further ahead than the clash against the Baggies. Everton are on a decent run at the moment, having lost just twice in their last 14 ...

Newcastle 3-1 West Brom | Alan Pardew on Newcastle Victory

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew praised his side for a "champagne" display in their 3-1 victory at West Brom. Forwards Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa were particularly influential as the Magpies moved level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea. "Today it was champagne stuff," Pardew told BBC Sport. "Demba, Papiss and Ben Arfa are a real front three. "We've been phenomenal all year, the players have worked so hard and deserve all the plaudits they get." Newcastle's recent victory over Norwich was their first win in five matches, and the improvement continued at West Brom. Cisse put them in front on six minutes from Ben Arfa's cross before Ben Arfa doubled the lead with a superb team goal. It was 3-0 on 34 minutes when Ben Arfa and Ba combined to set up Cisse for his second as the Magpies took total control. A defensive mix-up allowed substitute Shane Long to pull one back, but Newcastle held on and could have scored more. "First half, we played some really fantastic stuff," said Pardew. "I said before the game that at the training ground there was a new buoyancy after the win against Norwich. "We had chances to get the fourth goal, we knew that would seal it and that was my half-time message. But we managed to see it out. "This is a tough place to come and they've won with something to spare." Pardew replaced Chris Hughton as Newcastle boss in December 2010 and guided the club to 12th last season. West Brom 1-2 Norwich - Official Highlights and Goals | FA Cup 4th Round Proper 28-01-12

Simeon Jackson earned Norwich a repeat of their Premier League result two weeks ago by scoring late on to beat West Brom in the FA Cup fourth round. The visitors were thankful to debutant goalkeeper Jed Steer, who tipped Jerome Thomas's shot onto the bar. Grant Holt then scored from close range following Elliott Bennett's cross. Marc Antoine-Fortune equalised after Thomas dispossessed the Norwich defence but substitute Jackson came on to take advantage of Craig Dawson's error. Dawson was dispossessed inside his own box and Jackson needed no second invitation to drill a low shot past Foster and into the far corner of the net. Earlier, Fortune headed over at the near post from a corner and Simon Cox had a shot deflected over from Fortune's low centre. But it was Steer, 19, who played a key role in Norwich's victory and prevented the tie going to a replay by saving late on from substitute Shane Long and Joe Mattock. The goalkeeper's heroics booked Norwich's place in the fifth round for the first time in five years and extended their unbeaten run to six games. The Canaries, who are ninth in the Premier League, will also take satisfaction that they progressed to the next round despite resting five players. West Brom were hoping to reach the last 16 for the fourth time in six years, but must now concentrate on retaining their Premier League status.

West Brom 4-2 Cardiff - Official Highlights and Goals | FA Cup 3rd Round Proper 07-01-12

A Simon Cox hat-trick guided West Bromwich Albion into the FA Cup fourth round as they survived a Cardiff City fightback at The Hawthorns. Peter Odemwingie opened the scoring after seven minutes despite the home side's strong appeals for offside. Cox headed in West Brom's second from Nicky Shorey's free-kick before the visitors rallied through Rob Earnshaw and a Joe Mason solo strike. But Cox sealed victory with a 25-yard shot off the post and a late tap-in. The Republic of Ireland striker had only scored once this season prior to this match but he quadrupled his tally as injury-hit West Brom enjoyed an FA Cup distraction from their Premier League troubles. Unusually for a top-flight versus Championship clash, it was the lower league side that made wholesale team changes as the Bluebirds swapped 10 players from Monday's win over play-off rivals Reading. Cardiff manager Malky Mackay's decision to rotate his squad was due to having one eye on Tuesday's Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Crystal Palace but West Brom counterpart Roy Hodgson had no such luxury. The Baggies were without seven injured players, including captain Chris Brunt, but they went close to taking the lead as early as the second minute. James Morrison's effort appeared to strike Cardiff defender Dekel Keinan on the arm but referee Lee Probert dismissed the home side's loud protests. And the officials were the centre of attention again for Odemwingie's opener as Cardiff argued the Nigerian ...

Fulham 1-1 West Brom - Jol on Dembele quality - English premier League 2012

Somen Tchoyi snatched a late equaliser for West Brom just five minutes after coming off the bench. Fulham looked to be cruising to victory after Clint Dempsey opened the scoring from close range midway through the second half. But Tchoyi ran on to James Morrison's flick to equalise with a cross-shot for his first goal of the season. Albion have lost only one of their last five Premier League away games and are eight points clear of the bottom three. Fulham manager Martin Jol started without a recognised striker after selling Bobby Zamora to QPR in a £4 million deal , with Russian forward Pavel Pogrebnyak ineligible after joining from Stuttgart and Andy Johnson and Moussa Dembele absent through injury. /football on Youtube brings you the latest football news, transfer rumours and footballing gossip from the English Premier League and European Champions League. tags Fulham 1-1 West Brom "Fulham 1-1 West Brom" penalty dempsey rchoyi "martin jol" possession "Fulham FC" "Premier League" "West Bromwich Albion FC" Football "Association Football" Manchester United Champions Soccer Chelsea "Manchester United FC"

Zoltan Gea has won Hungary's Goal of the Year. The Hungarian captain scored twice in his country's 5-3 defeat to Holland in March. His second strike (which you will see first here...we're not being intentionally confusing I promise) came fifth whilst his first strike (which is the second one shown here) carried off the prize. Amazing goalkeeper 90-yards goal! Joerg Siebenhandl (Wiener Neustadt) vs Mattersburg

2011The Austrian top flight restarted with a bang on Saturday as Wiener Neustadt goalie Joerg Siebenhandl scored just two minutes into the new season. Much like the goal which San Jose keeper David Bingham scored against West Brom last week in a friendly, Siebenhandl sat back and watched his massive hoof upfield miss everyone before bouncing it's way into the net. Obviously the goal was unintentional. After Neustadt were awarded a free-kick just outside their area, the hosts looked to switch the play up the other end of the field. Siebenhandl was handed responsibility to smack the ball long, and the 20-year-old could hardly believe it when his sailed 80-yards, hit the turf, and embarrassed his opposite number Thomas Borenitsch. ---- Mo Isom Scores from 90 Yards Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham's unbelievable goal vs. West Brom san jose quakes exclusive soccer mls football futball earthquakes bobby convey wondolowski cronin mcdonald bingham goal half field amazing score west brom gol goalie scores goalie Unbelievable fantastic cool league skills england cal bears west brom albion epl best goal
