Born Warren Griffin III, Warren G exploded out of the burgeoning Long Beach rap scene in 1994 with the smash single "Regulate," a duet with longtime friend Nate Dogg, and its accompanying album, Regulate...G Funk Era. G grew up in Long Beach listening to his parents' extensive collection of jazz, soul and funk records, also frequently hanging out at the local VIP record store. As a teenager, he and his friends Nate Dogg and future superstar Snoop Dogg formed a rap group called 213, after their area code. Unfortunately, all three had brushes with the law and spent time in jail, which motivated them to get jobs, also working on their music on the side.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The estranged wife of Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood was mauled by a Bakersfield police K-9 inside her home on Easter Sunday. Attorney Daniel Rodriguez said 60-year-old Victoria Youngblood was home alone asleep in her bedroom Sunday evening. "All of a sudden, she feels a weight pounce on her, and something clamps down on her head," said Rodriguez. "And she can feel the crunching of bones in her head." The dog clamped down on the back of her neck, right ear and side of her head. A medical assessment report from Kern Medical Center reads: "This patient has a mutilated right ear that is questionably salvageable." In addition to possibly losing her right ear, Youngblood might also be in danger of losing her hearing after the The incident stems from an earlier incident involving Aaron Youngblood, son of Victoria and Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood. Police went to the home on Delany Court in southwest Bakersfield to serve a search warrant. Earlier Sunday, Aaron Youngblood was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property. Aaron Youngblood no longer lives with his mother, said Rodriguez. Bakersfield police Sgt. Joe Grubbs said police made their presence known before entering the home of Victoria Youngblood. Deputy Sherriff strikes reporter at LCO accident scene
On the night of August 7th, NFIC reporter Paul DeMain arrives at the scene of a car accident. After ascertaining the scene is calm and no issue of sensitivity in filming are required he begins filming. A Sawyer County Sheriff, Brian Knapp arrives at the scene and focuses on DeMain who is taking pictures by cam recorder. After demanding that DeMain leave the scene, the officer grabs the cam recorder within 3 seconds of his demands, and then strikes DeMain with his flashlight. In this video, which is three videos combined, the officers actions are recorded. When the officer first asks DeMain to leave the scene, he grabs the video and tries to either take it away or break it, and the recording ends for a moment until it is restarted in 8-10 seconds.
