
Malaysian Shiite Plea Help From International Community 1 PRESS RELEASE 1. On the evening of December 15 2010 or 9th of Muharam year 1432, between 10:15 pm until midnight at Hauzah ar-Ridha, the Selangor Religious Authority headed by its director, Muhammed Khusrin bin Munawi with his colleagues, and with the employees from the City Hall of Selayang and with the Malaysian Police "gate-crashed" and raided the Hauza ar-Ridha located at Sri Gombak, Batu Caves, Selangor. A majlis for mourning of the Grandson of the Holy Prophet Imam Hussein was being held when the center was raided. 2. The action of breaking an entry into the building while the Majlis to mourn the Grandson of The Holy Prophet was being held has nothing to do with spreading the Shia faith to anyone in the State of Selangor or in Malaysia. This was a closed-door majlis in a building with a valid permit. The majlis held was only focused on remembering the sad demise of grandson of the Holy Prophet in the Islamic Calendar. 3. The United Nation in 1948 in article 18 state that "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance" 4.
