I'm pleased to finally bring you a review on the deluxe Shinken-Oh, the main mecha from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. This robotic samurai is comprised of 5 Origami: Shishi, Ryuu, Kuma, Saru, and Kame. This is one of my favorite mecha to come from Sentai so far, and I'm not sure why. Something about this guy just screams awesome to me. Haha. This is the first part of my review for the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger DX DaiKai-Oh as part of thedragonknight97's Shinkenger mecha request. This part will feature Ebi Origami, DaiKai-Oh, and his 4 forms. He comes with himself and Hiden Disk 14. Ebi Origami also has sounds when you push the button. Ebi Origami does what every new robot in a Sentai line needs to do. It brings a unique style and play value to the line without overshadowing the main mecha. There are sadly two main, but minor, gripes about this figure that were not really stressed all that much in the video. The first issue is that the lobster mode is extremely unstable and prone to falling on its side (call it HadToMuchSake-Oh). The other issue has to due to with the lobster modes size. Normally this isnt an issue but here the mode is so large and unstable that it does sit well on any shelf. The lobster mode looks great, but the above mentioned issues prevent it from being a good mode. Getting the figure into robot mode is simple but fun and the resulting mecha is very striking and looks great on the shelf. The four different modes (one requiring Ika Origami) are all just different enough to add a ton a play value and interest to keep this figure constantly fresh. Ebi Origami is a wonderful figure and a great addition to any Sentai fans collection. But to truly make use of this figure one should also purchase Shinken-Oh since they can (of course) combine into another fantastic figure.

I also included a review of the Shodophone holder because I feel you can't have the phone without the holder. The little squid finally joins my crew thanks to Strikees. Ika is probably one of the most fun aux. Origami to play with for some reason, and he's oddly adorable to top it off. In this video I go over Ika itself, it's combination with Shinken-Oh, and it's combination with DaiTenkuu. The combination with DaiKai-Oh can be seen in DaiKai-Oh's review. It comes with Ushi Origami (the giant bull) and all his parts and Hiden Disks 20 and 21. Ushi Origami can roll forward and backwards when C batteries are inserted, and he is turned on. Shinken-Oh, DaiGoyou, and Dai Kai-Oh can ride on the back of Ushi. It can transform into Mogugyu Dai-Oh. In this form it can still move forward and backward. If a switch is pulled, he will stop moving, and the disk on his head will spin. This is my review of the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger DX Kyroyu Origami as part of thedragonknight97's Shinkenger mecha request. It comes with itself, Hiden Disk 17, and that little yellow piece for Kyoryu Shinken-Oh. It can be used as the Kyoryumaru sword, and disks can be spun on it like the Shinkenmaru. Pushing the button on the sword makes slash noises and a dinosaur roar. Spinning a disk on it also makes sounds. It can combine with Shinken-Oh to form Kyoryu Shinken-Oh. He shoots disks from his groin. HOW COOL IS THAT? Daigoyou was always on my radar, and once I could get him from HLJ for 60% plus free shipping, I couldn't pass the little bugger up. Sure, he doesn't combine with the final combo like Datas probably will, but he doubles as a cool role play toy, and has some fun phrases to boot. Is Daigoyou worth the yen? While it's certainly debatable, let's find out. Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (侍戦隊シンケンジャー, Samurai Squadron Shinkenger) is the 33rd Super Sentai series,which began airing on February 15, 2009. Shinkenger is a portmanteau of Shinken (a sharpened sword) and Ranger. The Shinkenger are the heirs of their samurai ancestors. The Shinkenger and the Gedoushuu have been fighting since the beginning of time. The ancient samurai succeded to seal them away millenia ago, but today the seal is broken. Following the tradition, the team is composed of a Lord (Takeru Shiba / ShinkenRed) and 4 vassals. Due to Haim Saban buying back the rights for the Power Rangers franchise, Shinkenger will be adapted for the 18th season of Power Rangers, although the English name for Shinkenger's Power Rangers counterpart is set to be revealed sometime this year.
