Not to mention I have never made a video with "The Sire" even when its one of my favorite little movies. I would have done a lot of things to see "The Sire" in Imax but I guess the creators of "Young Black Stallion" were being brain dead when they cut The Sire out.

This is the opening of our first feature film, Sir Lanval, an Arthurian fairytale. We shot it in just fifteen epic days in two countries on a budget of £25000! (A sum that would have paid for less than one second of "Avatar"!) We all had a glorious time filming in the fairytale landscapes of the Dartmoor National Park and Brittany. There were over 150 people involved, 78 scenes (aarrrgh!) children and animals including two horses, a snake, dogs, goats, a donkey called Lancelot, a raven, a truly regal falcon, our two pigs (Sherman and a heavily pregnant Blossom who subsequently had octopiglets). It was all completely bonkers, and utterly, wildly, wonderful. Tijdens de uitzending van Derek Ogilvie van 9 december 2010 bij RTL 4, was er sprake van een confronterend moment. Iemand uit het publiek stak tijdens de groepsreading zijn arm op, in de veronderstelling dat Derek contact had met iemand uit zijn omgeving die inmiddels is overleden. Nadat Derek de vrouw van zijn overleden vriend had opgebeld om wat details te checken, bleek dat zijn vriend nog helemaal niet overleden is. De man in het publiek had kennelijk op het moment dat zijn vriend ziek werd het contact verbroken, en was helemaal niet op de hoogte van het feit of hij inmiddels wel of niet overleden was. Derek ondersteunt hiermee de SIRE-campagne 'Ik ben er nog' die vandaag van start is gegaan. In deze campagne probeert SIRE inzichtelijk te maken wat voor impact een dodelijke ziekte heeft op sociale contacten en de omgeving van een patiënt. Uit onderzoek door Synovate in opdracht van SIRE blijkt dat één op de vier Nederlanders het contact met een bekende die dodelijk ziek is verliest.

Het geweld tegen ambulancemedewerkers, politieagenten en brandweermannen neemt jaarlijks toe. Dit jaar overkwam het maar liefst 80% van deze hulpverleners tijdens hun werk. Afschrikwekkende getallen, vandaar dat we in deze campagne tegen dit zinloze geweld twee artikelen uit de Conventie van Geneve citeren om aan te tonen dat we zelfs in oorlogstijd meer respect hebben voor deze groep mensen dan wij nu blijkbaar in vredestijd hebben. Op TV, radio en in print doen we oproep om een online petitie te tekenen: de Conventie van Nederland.

Voor een school project moesten we een reclame filmpje maken voor SIRE gericht op jongeren. Ik heb met een paar vrienden een dagje gefilmpt. Heel veel lol gehad aangezien ik geen film opleiding doe maar Multi-Media interactieve op het GLR.

Kinderen lijden vaak onder het te fanatieke gedrag van hun ouders. Het lijkt wel alsof alle frustraties van de hele week bij veel ouders op zaterdag er opeens uitkomen. Tabasco is sired by Dixie Hunter, out of the famous Delta Diamond, by Monarch. He is a beautiful chocolate, red & white speckled roan bull, much the same color as Rural Delivery. His pedigree for massive horn is in the very upper echelon. Many feel that Dixie Hunter was the best siring son of Classic & Rose Red. Delta Diamond was no doubt the greatest daughter of Monarch. She sold for $8000 at 15 years old, sporting over 68" horn tip to tip. She was the cow that made Monarch famous as a beautiful horned female sire. Tabasco is 3/4 Butler & 1/4 WR. He traces back on the WR side to WR 1005, who also was the major horn contributor in the pedigree of Doherty 698 & Twist 21. Many of the largest horned cattle ever to come from the Wichita Refuge trace to WR 1005 through her most famous son WR 2308. Tabasco has 63" horns. Use him for valuable calves with dynamic color and horn.
