Drills in Soccer - 30 Minute Soccer Training Session #1

This Online Soccer Academy training video is a 30 minute soccer training session you can do in your backyard. This practice has a focus on dribbling. Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Warm Up - Jog & Stretch (Knees up, side shuffle, back pedal, etc) 5-10 minutes: Speed Ladder - Explode out & dribble the ball - two in each, two in each facing right, then facing left, shuffle through 10-15 minutes: Dribbling work in & out of cones 45 seconds dribbling / 30 seconds juggling repeat 4 times 15-20 minutes: Fitness - Shuttle Sprints with Ball Set up 3-4 cones Do one set, then rest 15-30 seconds. The 30 minute soccer training session #2 is an Online Soccer Academy soccer training session you can do in your backyard on your own time, outside of team soccer practice. This is also a great soccer conditioning to do for summer soccer training when you are out of school. Think of this soccer training video like a lesson from soccer school. Equipment Needed: 5 cones and a mini soccer ball. If you don't have a mini soccer ball a regular soccer ball works just fine. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Warm Up - Jog & Stretch with Mini Ball Different exercises but keep the ball with you 5-10 minutes: Mini Ball Foot Work - Every 30 seconds change the exercise: toe taps, inside taps, behind the back V's, In Front V's, scissors, step overs, etc. 5 minutes total. 10-15 minutes: Dribbling Sprints - Set up cones at angle, straight run home, Juggling during 20 second rest. The 30 minute soccer training session #6 is an Online Soccer Academy soccer training video you can do in your backyard on your own time, outside of team soccer practice. Equipment Needed: 5 cones, a soccer goal and as many soccer balls as you have. If you don't have access to a goal then use a fence or wall. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Jog regular for 2 minutes. Then do a variation of leg kick exercises. Leg kick in the front, sideways and backwards. Do some of those leg kicks that make you look like a Joga Bonita Brazilian too! Finish with stretching. 5-10 minutes: Set up a start cone. Soccer balls are lined up in front of goal about 12 yards away. Sprint and pass the ball with pace in the corners of the goal, then spring back to start cone and immediately repeat. Don't go for power; pass it in because we are still warming up. After you shoot all the balls, repeat until five minutes is up. 10-15 minutes: Set up start cone on the side of the goal. All balls by the start cone. Set up an end cone about 15 yards ahead. Set up three cones going across the goal to show the path of how you want to pass the soccer ball in the net. Dribble with ball to end cone, do a Cruyff or any move you like, change pace and when ready open your hips and body to pass it into the far post low and hard while dribbling at speed. Here's a new soccer training session for you to do. The cool down ending is a little tough and will really challenge your skills. Enjoy! Equipment Needed: 5 cones and a soccer ball. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Warm up with the ball. Dribble around the field doing moves as you go. Go slow, go fast. Mix it up. 5-10 minutes: Angle your cones in a line. Dribble to each cone, do a pull back V, then accelerate to next cone. Don't go full speed the whole time, change pace. Then when you get to end cone, sprint back. Rest, Repeat 7 times. For tips on how to do the pull back v search our "Soccer Training -- How to do a Pull Back V" OSA training video. 10-15 minutes: Speed of Thought Training -- Pass the ball against the fence and as it comes back to you check your shoulders before receiving it and passing it back. When checking your shoulders you are looking for defenders, attackers, space, runs, etc. Sometimes pass it back against the wall as if you had a man on, sometimes turn and go forward. You make the choice. Start getting your mind right for your session. 10 -- 15 minutes: Sprints with cones using the ball. 4 cones. Set up a start cone, two middle cones closer together, and an end cone. Dribble to 3rd cone, cut back with outside of right foot, dribble to second cone, cut back with left foot, then sprint to top cone. Light jog back. Rest 20 seconds, repeat 5 times. This training session will help to get your blood flowing, muscles loose, keep your touch sharp and mind focused for game day or clear your mind from the game prior. The key is we want you sharp, but not tired which is why it's not a soccer conditioning session. Think of this soccer training video like a lesson from soccer school. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Dynamic Warm up with stretching as you go. Leg kicks, side shuffles, etc. 5-10 minutes: Foot juggling using one foot. Do right foot for 30 seconds, then left. Take as small of a touch as possible. 10-15 minutes: Thigh Juggling. Juggle normal. Then combos like Right Left, Two Right then Two left, you be creative and challenge yourself. 15-20 minutes: Head Juggling. 20-25 minutes: Juggle the soccer ball high in the air, control it out of the air using different parts of your body and continue juggling. There is a big emphasize on passing, shooting and working on your speed of play in this Online Soccer Academy soccer training video. Equipment Needed: 5 cones, a goal and as many soccer balls as you have! If you don't have a goal then use a wall or fence. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Warm up, Jog and stretch doing all the normal exercises like high knees, side shuffle, etc. Finish with some leg kicks. 5-10 minutes: Passing exercise. Set up a cone where you will stand. Then set up two small cone goals 20 yards ahead of you. Pass the ball up against the fence, as it comes back to you check your shoulder, see your target either cone goal one or two, then take a touch forward and pass it through. Repeat with until all your balls are gone. Then repeat for five minutes. 10-15 minutes: Same exercise as above except now put the cone goals 30 yards away and chip the ball in the cone goals. Drills in Soccer - 30 Minute Soccer Training Session #5

The 30 minute soccer training session #5 is an Online Soccer Academy soccer training video you can do in your backyard on your own time, outside of team soccer practice. Equipment Needed: 5 cones, mini ball and regular ball. Soccer Training Session: 0-5 minutes: Warm Up -- Jog and Stretch. High knees, side shuffles, all the regular exercises but start getting your mind right for training. 5-10 minutes: Mini ball work. Dribble in and out of cones, be creative for 30 seconds. Then juggle mini ball for 30 seconds. Repeat 5 times. 10-15 minutes: Speed of Play Training. Kick the mini ball with a lot of power off the fence. As it comes back to you check your shoulders. You are looking for imaginary teammates and defenders so in the game this look over your shoulder will come natural; this will increase your speed of play in soccer. When you receive the ball take a touch away from an imaginary defender and play it back. Be creative on how you receive the ball. Go for 5 minutes. 15-20 minutes: Fitness with regular size soccer ball. Run hard for 15 seconds while dribbling, then light jog for 15 seconds. Run hard for 30 seconds while dribbling, then light jog for 30 seconds. Run hard for 45 seconds while dribbling, then light jog for 30 seconds. Do two sets if time allows. Key is to get your heart rate up and down. When jogging, jog real slow. When sprinting, go hard! 20-25 minutes: Dribble in and out of cones using normal size soccer ball, be creative for 30 seconds. How to do the Advanced Scissors - Soccer Training

Learn how to do the advanced scissors soccer move in this Online Soccer Academy training video. This is a great move to do when faking out a defender. Key Points: 1.) Soft touch on back of ball moving it across your body 2.) Sell the move 3.) Change pace Exercise you can do: Set up four cones. Two to act as a defender and then one to side of each defender about 7 yards away to give you an idea of changing pace. All cones in a straight line. Do the move, accelerate to the end cone, jog back. Repeat 5 times. Then relax and repeat the set as many times as you would like. What you could do wrong: If you find you can't scissor the ball fast enough, you may be taking to big of a touch. Remember that 1st touch across your body is a little one, not a big one. If it is feeling awkward for you and you aren't really getting your shoulders into it, it's probably because your plant foot, non scissoring foot isn't moving out wide when it should be when you take your touch inside.
